| Cultural symbols that contain unique charms are condensed as cultural resources and represent the comprehensive strength and image of our country.In terms of building mainstream media’s international communication capabilities,telling Chinese stories well,and raising China’s voice,it has increasingly shown its key functional value.Under the realistic situation of major changes unseen in a century and new changes in international relations,it is an issue that needs to be paid more and more attention to continue to increase the spread of Chinese cultural symbols and strive to occupy a place in the current international communication pattern.Judging from the current dissemination of CGTN,People’s Daily,and Xinhua News Agency on the three major platforms(Twitter,Facebook,and You Tube),the presentation of cultural symbols in mainstream media’s overseas dissemination is obviously biased.First,the frequency of presentation of cultural symbol media varies widely in types,and the distribution is relatively uneven.Second,the presentation degree and content of cultural symbols on different social platforms are different.The third is that different media have preferences for different cultural symbols.Traditional reports with graphics and texts in presentation form occupy most of the tweets,and the application of new technologies for short videos and live broadcasts still needs to continue to work hard.Chinese mainstream media continue to promote innovative practices and exploratory practices,and strengthen the international audience’s memory of Chinese cultural symbols by combining symbol selection,form arrangement,issue reproduction and multi-issue association,so as to promote symbol construction of cultural communication and highlight the style characteristics of multi-form expression and multi-mode presentation.However,there are still problems such as weak interactive feedback and differences in emotional connection.To analyze the reasons,on the one hand,in addition to their own communication capacity building,mainstream media also need to improve the degree of emphasis on the presentation of cultural symbols,and continue to improve the theoretical consciousness and practical strength of the use of cultural symbols.On the other hand,cultural misreading,cultural discount and ideological prejudice are also factors that cannot be ignored. |
