| The development of wireless communication is changing rapidly.In the near future,satellite internet will be the important way to develop under the new communication scenario.Low orbit satellite communication is relatively fast on the ground and requires the antenna to have the characteristics of "communication in motion",while the liquid crystal phased array has the characteristics of fast beam change,low power consumption and low production cost,which has advantages over mechanical turntable antenna and silicon-based active phased array antenna.In order to ensure the application scenario of liquid crystal phased array,high-density phased array antenna is one of the solutions.Under this research background,this paper proposes a high-density phased array antenna based on liquid crystal.The main research contents include:1.Based on the structural characteristics and basic laws of liquid crystal materials,the dielectric anisotropy,continuous adjustable dielectric properties and electric field control properties of liquid crystal molecules are studied.Under different control voltages,the simulation of liquid crystal molecular director distribution and effective dielectric constant is studied,and the model of liquid crystal device control voltage and equivalent dielectric constant is established.2.Based on the theory of composite left and right hand transmission lines,the landing application of composite left and right hand transmission lines in liquid crystal devices is studied.The HFSS software is used to design a liquid crystal phase shifter with miniaturization,low insertion loss and high quality factor to achieve more than 360 °phase shift in a shorter length.The prepared phase shifter achieves a phase shift of 402 °in a length of 10 mm.3.Based on the phased array antenna theory,analyze the way to optimize the antenna performance,and combine the miniaturized liquid crystal phase shifter to design a Kaband 1 * 8 high-density phased array antenna.Verify the phased array antenna performance through the HFSS software numerical simulation,and realize the miniaturized and low-cost phased array antenna design.The prepared phased array antenna has beam scanning capability.4.Compare the manufacturing process of liquid crystal panel with that of liquid crystal microwave device,and make targeted improvement according to the differences,so as to obtain the optimized manufacturing process including copper metal layer preparation,uniform etching,frame glue optimization,and produce the liquid crystal microwave device with high uniformity and fit the simulation results. |
