With the rapid development of wireless communication and 5G technology,modern communication systems are developing towards multi-mode multi-frequency,low power-consumption,high transmission rate,and strong anti-interference ability which proposes new requirements for the efficiency and bandwidth of power amplifier(PA).Although the traditional continuous PA can achieve broadband and highefficiency,the bandwidth is still limited due to the limited impedance space solution,which is difficult to meet the requirements of ultra-broadband or octave PA.The main research direction of this thesis is how to break through the limitation of impedance design space in the traditional continuous working mode and realize the design of ultrabroadband continuous PA and octave continuous PA.The concreteness research work is as follows:1.Based on the nonlinear effect,this thesis fully analyzes the influence of Cgs on the performance of continuous inverse Class F PA by quantifying the nonlinearity of gate source capacitor Cgs.It is found that by controlling the nonlinear factors of Cgs reasonably,the gate voltage and drain voltage and current waveforms can be reshaped,and the impedance design space can be further expanded,so as to solve the bandwidth limitation of traditional continuous PA,achieve PA ultra-broadband and high efficiency.In order to verify this,Chebyshev low-pass filter prototype and cross network are used to realize the matching of high efficiency space and the control of nonlinear factors.By using Cree CGH40010 F,a broadband continuous inverse Class F PA is finally designed.The working frequency band 1.5-2.6GHz,the saturated output power is between 39.5-42.1dBm,and PAE is between 63.2% and 74.4%.2.Aiming at the contradiction between octave PA and continuous mode PA,this thesis deeply analyzes and studies the continuous inverse Class F mode,and proposes a design method of octave continuous inverse Class F PA.The voltage and current are respectively given a resistive multiplier factor,and the admittance of the second harmonic and the fundamental are reconfigured to realize the overlap of the high frequency fundamental and the low frequency harmonic,further enrich the impedance design space in the continuous inverse F mode,and solving the bandwidth difficulty in breaking through the octave limit.Then,through the optimization strategy of octave area,the relationship between the factors is deduced,and the high efficiency space is determined in the continuous mode by the strategy,and the cross network is used to achieve the matching of high efficiency space,simplifying the difficulty of matching network design.The measured results show that the designed continuous inverse Class F PA works in the frequency range of 0.6-3.6GHz,the saturation output power ranges from 38.97-42 dBm,and the drain efficiency ranges from 57.5% to 76.8%.The research work in this thesis has advantages in bandwidth and efficiency and has certain reference value for the theory and application of broadband continuous PA.
