Research On The Influence Of Intermediate Product Innovation On The Value Chain Division Position Of China’s Electronic Information Manufacturing Industry

With the rise of trade protectionism and the increasing uncertainty of the global market,it is of great significance to improve the division of labor position of China’s electronic information manufacturing industry in the global value chain and the domestic value chain,which is of great significance to build a new development pattern of domestic and international double circulation.Since China’s entry into the World Trade Organization,China’s electronic information manufacturing industry has long relied on the comparative advantage of low labor cost to participate in the international division of labor,and relevant enterprises have been forced into the dilemma of "low-end lock-in." Therefore,China’s electronic information manufacturing industry urgently needs to climb to the high end.Under the background of the continuous expansion and deepening of the global value chain division system and the deterioration of the internal and external environment of China’s economic development,it is of great significance to study how the intermediate product innovation affects the position of the division of labor between the global value chain and the domestic value chain of China’s electronic information manufacturing industry.This paper first gives the definition of intermediate product innovation,value chain division and China’s electronic information manufacturing industry.Secondly,the innovation theory,input-output theory and global value chain theory are sorted out to lay a theoretical foundation for the mechanism analysis.Then it discusses the influence mechanism of intermediate product innovation on the position of the value chain division of China’s electronic information manufacturing industry,and puts forward corresponding research hypotheses.Then,based on the national,provincial and enterprise level data,the actual correlation between the two is tested.Finally,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)At the national level,intermediate product innovation is conducive to improving the labor division of China’s electronic information manufacturing industry in the global value chain;Moreover,the larger the export scale of a country is,the greater the role of intermediate product innovation in the promotion of the global value chain division of China’s electronic information manufacturing industry is.(2)At the provincial level,intermediate product innovation is conducive to improving the labor division of China’s electronic information manufacturing industry in the domestic value chain;Many regions also need intermediate goods from other regions;Intermediate product innovation has significant heterogeneity in the promotion of the domestic value chain division of China’s electronic information manufacturing industry.The development of digital economy is conducive to fully releasing the positive effect of intermediate product innovation on the promotion of the division of labor in the domestic value chain of China’s electronic information manufacturing industry.(3)At the enterprise level,intermediate product innovation is conducive to improving the labor division of China’s electronic information manufacturing industry enterprise in the domestic value chain;In the case of forced reduction of intermediate product imports,controlling the intensity of regional competition within an appropriate range is conducive to stimulating the enthusiasm of Chinese electronic information manufacturing enterprises to carry out intermediate product innovation.In the new era and new development stage,the research of this paper has certain reference value.
