| During the "Fourteenth Five-Year Plan" period,as an important information resource and a unique historical and cultural heritage,the value of archives has become increasingly prominent.The fundamental and supportive role of archives work in various undertakings of the Party and the country has become more prominent.The development of archives is in an important strategic opportunity period.The National Comprehensive Archives,as a public cultural institution,has become increasingly prominent,and its attribute of serving the society has become clearer.Archives should make full use of their own collection resources to play the role of leisure and education.As the backbone of the country’s future construction and development,children should pay full attention to their information needs and archives needs,and pay attention to the development of children’s services in archives.For a long time,China’s archives children’s service has been presented in the form of patriotism education and red archives education.In the new era,we should respond to the call,further promote the construction of archives utilization system,innovate the archives children’s service model,fully realize the value of archives to the country and society,and improve the cultural and educational ability of archives and public service ability.The research collected and analyzed the archives services related to children by investigating and visiting the official websites of national archives in eight countries,including the United Kingdom,France,the United States,Canada,Australia,Singapore,Japan and New Zealand,and explained the current situation of children’s services in foreign archives from four aspects: service object,service content,service form and service mode.On the basis of understanding the current situation of children’s service practice in foreign archives,this paper discusses the characteristics of flexibility,pertinence,accuracy,openness and inclusiveness of children’s service in foreign archives from five aspects: rich service themes,service segmentation groups,service associated objects,archives integration into teaching and cross-border cooperation.Finally,based on the national conditions of our country and the successful practice of some of the children’s services that have already opened archives in China,we will put forward optimization suggestions for the children’s services of archives in China from six perspectives: innovating the forms of children’s services,building an accurate children’s service system,expanding the children’s service groups,educating people in archives,cross-border cooperation and uniting social forces. |
