A Research Of Emotion Transfer In Data News From The Perspective Of News Narrative Theory

Data journalism has been widely used in western media.With the influence of western media,domestic media also began to take interest in data journalism and developed some excellent data journalism columns,such as "Caixin Digital Talk","Xinhua Data News","Netease Digital Read" and so on.After years of development and accumulation,data journalism has also explored its storytelling methods to a certain extent.In recent years,especially with the outbreak and spread of the new crown epidemic in 2020,data journalism has become a new force in news reporting,welcomed by readers for its innovative reporting methods,diverse reporting topics,and multi-dimensional and comprehensive storytelling approach.This form of reporting is gradually being accepted by the public.Unlike earlier data journalism that lacked emotional narratives,data journalism about news and disasters is becoming increasingly emotional and humanistic,adding the functions of conveying emotions and expressing sympathy,as well as conveying information and dispelling rumors to the news.This paper also examines the narrative approach to data journalism,which distinguishes it from traditional journalism.Using narrative theory,agenda-setting theory,case studies and textual analysis of news and disaster reports,this paper explores data journalism.This paper discusses the background and importance of the topic,as well as a review of relevant literature in order to organize and summarize domestic and international research results,conduct a literature review and in-depth discussion,clarify the research object and research questions,and clarify the ideas and theoretical framework.This study intends to summarize the narrative and significance of data journalism in China using the content research method,textual analysis method,and case study method.Then a theoretical overview is given to explain the concept,development and main features of data journalism narratives;the concepts,the current situation and the way of combining the two in news narrative theory are analyzed and developed.Then the ways and means of communicating emotional and humanitarian issues in news and disaster journalism in data journalism are analyzed from the perspective of narrative theory and in conjunction with emotion communication theory,as well as their implications.Next,the role of data journalism and traditional journalism in disaster relief news is compared from the perspective of narrative theory,highlighting the differences and advantages of data journalism,and analyzing and illustrating the four aspects of narrative from a theoretical perspective: choice of topic,presentation of data,presentation of details,and tendency to convey emotions.This is followed by an analysis and illustration of the problems that arise in data journalism in conveying emotions.Finally,measures to address these problems are proposed and attempt to provide insights for journalism professionals and students.
