| Although China’s animation film started late,it has gone abroad at the beginning of its development.Since the beginning of the new century,the release of animated films with mythological themes has attracted wide attention from audiences at home and abroad,and the comments on the films have become more diversified.At present,there are many studies on the cross-cultural communication of mythological animated films in the academic circle,but few studies analyze the cross-cultural communication of such films from the perspective of overseas comments.From a cross-cultural perspective,this paper selects the user reviews of the three films "Nezha’s Devil Child Comes to Earth","Jiang Ziya" and "White Snake 2: The Green Snake Robbs" in IMDB website as the research object,and examines the overseas dissemination of such films,as well as the overall attitude and interpretation of overseas users to such films.First of all,the author uses content analysis method to analyze relevant comments,and constructs four categories of audio-visual perception,story plot,cultural understanding and emotional orientation,and analyzes overseas users’ acceptance,attitude and evaluation orientation of movies by combining the data of box office,rating and voting groups provided by IMDB website.The study found that from the perspective of content analysis,overseas users have a good acceptance of mythological animated films;From the perspective of box office,ratings and voting groups,overseas users showed acceptance and love for Chinese mythological animated films.Secondly,in order to explore "the acceptance of overseas users and the content characteristics of overseas reviews",the author uses the text analysis method,combined with the "encoding and decoding theory" and the "cultural iceberg" theory,to divide the review text into three aspects: the audio-visual level,the story level and the cultural understanding level,and to investigate the overseas reviews of mythological animated films.From the perspective of text analysis,overseas users have a variety of comments on this kind of film,praise and criticism are the same.Finally,based on the summarized feedback from overseas users,this paper puts forward relevant suggestions and enlightenment,with a view to promoting the overseas dissemination of mythological animated films.The author believes that to improve the effect of Chinese mythological animated films in cross-cultural communication,we need to think from the perspective of overseas audiences,rely on the "stranger" strategy,and improve the ability of cross-cultural communication;Jointly build the third culture,and look for the link of culture;Integrate the two modes of "personal hero" and "dual opposition". |
