A Study Of Ancient Books Of Art In Princeton University Library

This paper consists of three parts,namely introduction,text and conclusion.The introduction includes four parts: research purpose and significance,literature review,research methods and research difficulties.This paper discusses the research status of art ancient books in Princeton University Library in detail,discusses the significance of further research,how to further research and the key and difficulties of research.In the text,starting with the general collection situation of Princeton University Library,this paper introduces the history of East Asian Library of Princeton University and Marquand Art and Archaeology Library,and makes a detailed investigation of the status of Princeton University Library as an important town of Chinese books in North America.Then through the way of branch library discussion,emphatically reflects the characteristics of the two libraries,through the analysis of East Asian library collection,collection content and collection examples,introduces the source,type and catalogue characteristics of East Asian library art ancient books,and analyzes the collection characteristics of calligraphy and painting and seal cutting ancient books through the compilation of records.The research for Marquand Art Archaeology Library focuses on the collection condition and source of the collection,and introduces its featured collection of ancient books Collotype Edition,and verifies the problems and errors of the current online catalog.Finally,it summarizes the characteristics and values of the two art ancient books,and puts them into the background of "east learning and west learning",reflecting their important role in the preservation of overseas Chinese books.The third part is the conclusion,which is the full text summary of the collection of ancient art books in Princeton University library.
