Abstract/Summary:
It has been more than 40 years since China implemented reform and opening up in 1978,and the material life of the people has been greatly improved. At the same time, the pursuit of spiritual values has also been increasingly enhanced.According to the seventh national population census,China’s population aged 60 and over reached 264 million, accounting for18.7%,an increase of 5.44 percentage points compared to 2010.Among them, the population aged 65 and over reached 190 million, accounting for 13.5%.Therefore,it is urgent to increase attention to the emotional needs and emotional health of middle-aged and elderly groups. This article takes the middle-aged and elderly dating program as the starting point, and conducts a discourse analysis and summary of the program. On the one hand,it deeply understands the focus of middle-aged and elderly dating. On the other hand,it analyzes the discourse context and text production distribution of middle-aged and elderly dating programs. Finally, when it comes to social practice, adhere to the service principle of "people-oriented" in middle-aged and elderly TV dating programs. In summary, the dramatic increase in the number of middle-aged and elderly people has brought about significant changes in the social and demographic structure. In the context of an increasingly serious aging society, the stability of the family structure of the middle-aged and elderly population is related to the stability of the social and demographic structure.Strengthening social and media attention to emotional issues of the middle-aged and elderly is a necessary measure to respond to the aging of China’s population, and is also an inherent meaning of news media platforms. This article selects 177 episodes of Jilin Satellite TV’s "Fate Comes Soon" from2020-2022 as research samples, and uses Phil Kraft’s three-dimensional discourse analysis model as the main theoretical support. It analyzes the discourse text of the research subject from the three dimensions of text application, discourse practice analysis, and discourse social practice analysis, and guides the agenda setting of topics by the program host,From the conversion and advancement of discourse and turns between matchmaking characters to the discourse strategy and contextual analysis of matchmakers, the research on the discourse text of matchmaking shows has reached a closed loop. This article starts from the discourse text of the guest in the program "Lucky Comes Not Too Late",and conducts a pure text analysis from the perspective of words, rhetoric, and structure to derive the discourse text style of middle-aged and elderly people. Then, combined with the specific context of the dating program, discourse practice analysis is conducted from three perspectives: content production, content distribution, and content consumption of the text.Combining topic guidance and turn-taking,the source and direction of the text are analyzed. Finally, from the perspective of social practice, analyze the relationship between middle-aged and elderly dating programs and the current social context, combine the development and background of society, combine program theory with social practice, improve the quality of middle-aged and elderly dating programs, and solve the emotional comfort problems of middle-aged and elderly in the social context of aging population. In summary, the research strategy and scheme of this article have a high degree of adaptability to the three-dimensional discourse analysis model of Phil Kraft,so this model is used as the theoretical support for this article.Through content research,it is found that, first of all,in TV dating programs for the middle-aged and elderly, due to the impact of their educational level and growth background,it is easy to form a lack of discourse power in the program, resulting in excessive concentration of discourse power in Little Matchmaker.Secondly, due to the pressure of facing TV cameras, some "camera language" will be mixed in the discourse expression. Finally,as the first choice for middle-aged and elderly media usage habits,TV dating programs should not only reflect the principle of audience first in the form of programs, but also focus on considering the particularity of middle-aged and elderly audience groups, placing service first, avoiding sensationalism, creating news, and attracting attention. In the context of the increasingly serious aging structure of China’s population, focusing on the emotional health of the middle-aged and elderly, and doing well in TV dating programs for the middle-aged and elderly are necessary measures for media platforms to assist in solving social reality problems.
