During the development of information technology on the Internet, the types of data resources in libraries have become more diverse. The increasing popularity of intelligent digital information resources has posed new challenges to the management and services of university libraries.Due to the heterogeneity of autonomous management strategies and the lack of effective incentives for interlibrary sharing among universities, there is a lack of intrinsic motivation for book sharing.Additionally, there are issues of high demand and resource imbalance in library resource sharing,as well as problems such as information silos, duplicated construction, and low resource utilization.Blockchain is a technology that is jointly maintained by multiple parties, ensuring secure transmission and access through cryptography. It enables consistent data storage, tamper resistance, and non-repudiation,providing a distributed, decentralized, transparent, immutable, and traceable ledger technology. It has inherent advantages in interdepartmental, interregional, and collaborative sharing, making it suitable for constructing a university alliance library resource sharing system. This paper proposes a university interlibrary alliance resource sharing system based on blockchain technology to address the issues in university library resource sharing. The main research content and innovations of this paper are as follows:(1)Utilizing the trust-building advantage of blockchain technology,a multi-alliance and multi-channel university interlibrary resource sharing system is proposed. This system can improve the book sharing mode among university libraries, better meet the demands of students from various universities for book resources, and enhance the marginal effects of book resource utilization.(2)By using smart contracts,we can customize flexible and adaptable book lending strategies between universities, satisfying the needs during the sharing process.Periodically,we will track the quantity of books borrowed by each university, facilitating long-term book resource sharing among schools through settlement procedures.(3)Without altering the existing traditional library management information systems at each university,we will seamlessly integrate with their internal book management systems through API interfaces. This integration allows us to obtain book information and perform real-time updates of book resource information in the system, automating and ensuring traceability of the lending process on the blockchain. The book resource sharing system is implemented on the Hyperledger Fabric platform.Test results indicate that the throughput for book queries reaches approximately 202 transactions per second(TPS),with an average latency of around 0.5 seconds.Similarly, the throughput for book borrowing reaches nearly 180 TPS,with an average latency of around0.3 seconds. This system is capable of meeting practical requirements.
