Study On Media Practice And Public Spirit Cultivation Of Urban Community Cultural Space

With the rapid development of cities,the connection between people and communities is gradually weakened compared with the “acquaintance society”in the past.Meanwhile,the communication relationship between people and people in urban communities is also facing the risk of being separated by “boundaries”.As a medium connecting people and communities,cultural space in communities extends its significance from physical space to social space.It is not only a place to meet the spiritual civilization needs of community residents,but also a carrier to cultivate the public spirit of community residents.From the perspective of space media,this paper expounds the media practice of four community cultural Spaces in Linping District of Hangzhou in physical dimension,social interaction dimension,psychological dimension and spiritual dimension with the help of observation method and in-depth interview method,and studies the relationship between residents’ perception of community cultural space communication content and community public spirit through questionnaire survey method and in-depth interview method.Through the research,it is found that community cultural space as a medium constructs “communicable” scenes in the physical dimension,weaves the relationship network of community residents through communication practice,and produces the significance of community residents’ psychological and spiritual space based on space practice.The survey data show that the media practice of community cultural space positively affects the community public spirit on the whole.Among them,the media practice of physical dimension of community cultural space only affects the community identity dimension of community public spirit,while the media practice of communication,psychology and spirit dimension of community cultural space positively affects all dimensions of community public spirit.Therefore,this study believes that in order to play the media function of community cultural space and further promote the cultivation of community public spirit,we should start from the following four aspects: First,we should enhance residents’ sense of identity based on the characteristics of physical space;Second,digital enabling cultural space to create an immersive experience of community cultural space;Third,highlight the communication space,cultivate the spirit of joint construction and close relationship;Fourth,we should establish a cooperation mechanism to revitalize the internal resources of cultural space.
