Currently,the main network transport layer protocol is still Transmission Control Protocol(TCP),which only utilize one network interface of terminal devices during operation,leading to resource waste.Multi Path-TCP(MPTCP)can simultaneously use multiple network interfaces equipped on network devices,aggregate bandwidth,and improve network performance.MPTCP is one of the development directions of nextgeneration network transmission.Path management of MPTCP is one of the core factors that affect network performance.Currently,traditional path management algorithms adopt "static" path management,which does not actively adjust once the path connection is established.At the same time,these algorithms use all paths for transmission by default.When the differences between multiple paths are large,the performance of MPTCP concurrent transmission may be significantly affected by problems such as buffer blocking.To address the above issues,this thesis studies path management of MPTCP in wired transmission networks and vehicle networks based on network topology characteristics and transmission path characterstics.In wired transmission network environments,the network topology for multi-path transmission is relatively stable,but the characteristics of transmission paths may change,resulting in greater path differences and network fluctuations,which ultimately degrades transmission performance.Therefore,this thesis proposes an adaptive subflow switching algorithm based on path characteristics.The algorithm can monitor the status of all subflows in real-time and adjust path access permissions based on subflow status,allowing better-performing subflows to participate in concurrent transmission while excluding the poorly performing ones.In the vehicle network environment,as vehicles move continuously,network topology and path status change frequently,seriously affecting the quality and performance of transmission subflows in the vehicle network.To ensure the communication quality and reliability of the vehicle network,this thesis proposes a vehicle network path management algorithm based on path characteristics and signal characteristics.The algorithm determines the available paths within the vehicle communication range,evaluates the performance of these paths,obtains the quality factor of each path,and determines the optimal transmission path set and the main sub-flow according to these quality factors,and finally adopts the optimal path for transmission.Experimental results show that the two algorithms proposed in this thesis have significant advantages in path management of MPTCP,can significantly improve network transmission efficiency,and provide useful ideas for further research on MPTCP path management mechanisms.
