With the acceleration of modernization,China has gradually transformed from an agricultural society to an industrial society.The decline of the countryside has led to the decay of local culture that has lasted for thousands of years.In addition,the consumption of culture by some lustful people has gradually commercialized cultural entities that originally had important value.The encroachment of rural land has also caused people to lose their beloved "home".The multiple problems of modern society are constantly eating into people’s "homesickness".Taking the CCTV Documentary Channel of the New Era as the research object to analyze the spread of "homesickness",using the literature method to integrate the research results of predecessors,and enhancing its own research literacy;The content analysis method was used to deeply explore the concept of "nostalgia documentary" in the CCTV documentary channel in the new era;The case analysis method is used to study the narrative content of the nostalgia documentary of CCTV Documentary Channel,and deeply understand the cultural connotation of nostalgia in CCTV Documentary Channel in the new era.The field investigation method was used to observe the traditional ancient villages on the spot and find out the pract ical problems in them.Studying the nostalgia documentaries of CCTV Documentary Channel,three problems were found: First,overemphasis was placed on the local context and the meaning of nostalgia was ignored.Nostalgia is not only present in peasants far from home,but also in urban residents.The second is that there is too much emphasis on idyllic nostalgia,and there is no "nostalgia" brought about by the anxiety of modernity.Most of the nostalgic documentaries on CCTV Documentary Channel in the new era praise the poetic and beautiful life in the countryside,and do not reflect the bitterness and suffering of migrant workers and peasants in the city.The third is to overemphasize the cultural connotation of the carrier of homesickness and abandon the commercialization of the carrier of homesickness.The nostalgia documentary of the New Era CCTV Documentary Channel uses cultural symbols to stimulate people’s "homesickness" when spreading "homesickness",but these nostalgic carriers have encountered a serious crisis under the influence of commercialization.Based on this,according to its existing problems,three corresponding reform proposals are proposed: First,expand the perspective of nostalgia narrative and add "urban melancholy" narrative.Although the meanings of "urban sorrow" and "homesickness" are different,their essence is common,and they are both nostalgic for people or things in a certain place.Therefore,adding the narrative of "urban melancholy" can make the narrative of "homesickness" more comprehensive.The second is to reduce the narrative of idyll ic nostalgia and increase the "nostalgia" brought about by the anxiety of modernity.The idyllic rural life is indeed desirable and can also provide comfort to people in the midst of urban chaos,but the "nostalgia" brought about by the anxiety of modernity cannot be ignored.The third is to attach importance to the commercialization of nostalgia carriers,so that "seeing" homesickness becomes remembering homesickness.Protecting the carrier of homesickness is to protect Chinese traditional culture,and people can "see" homesickness through documentaries,but only when the carrier of homesickness really exists,can people always remember homesickness.
