A Study On The Oral History Of Academician Dai Yongnian’s Life From The Perspective Of Media Ecology

Over the past 70 years since the founding of the People’s Republic of China,the older generation of scientists have written the history of China’s scientific and technological development with their intelligence and hard work.Their life course is an important source for us to understand and spread the spirit of Chinese scientists.In this paper,Academician Dai Yongnian,a member of the group of old scientists,is selected as the research object,and his life oral history is collected.Under the theory of Media ecology,the influence of media on his life course and the shaping of his scientific spirit are explored.And how Dai Yongnian promoted social development and progress as a medium.This study finds out the media that have a key influence on Dai Yongnian from his life course,takes the direction of media’s influence on people’s living environment as a reference,and classiifies these media into the media of symbolic environment,the media of perceptual environment,and the media of social environment.Analyze how these media shaped Dai Yongnian’s social cognition,character background,feelings of home and country,knowledge structure,professional quality,life belief,life logic and so on in a specific time and space.At the same time,Dai Yongnian takes himself as the "medium" to assist the growth of students and teams in the roles of intellectuals,scientific research workers,college teachers and outstanding Communist Party members,so as to promote the development of science and technology and the progress of society.Through the interpretation of Dai Yongnian’s media practice in his life course,it can be seen that the media environment generated by different media has its bias,which has a historical and constantly generating and changing process for people.Media in different time and space act on people’s different perception directions,dynamically,continuously and deeply shaping the internalized symbol cognitive system and psychological emotional system of individuals,as well as influencing the process and trend of individual socialization,thus influencing individual life choices and social actions.Under the influence of media on social culture and the shaping of individuals,Dai Yongnian became a scientist.He realized the construction and expansion of his self-value and social value in the media environment,and his media practice in the course of his life was closely connected with the public society.At the same time,the media that influenced Dai Yongnian had certain characteristics of The Times.The scientific spirit conveyed by Dai Yongnian as "medium" is the common temperament of scientists in the development history of modern Chinese science and technology.These have important contemporary significance and value for us to intuitively understand the contemporary scientist group and to spread the spirit of Chinese scientists in an image.
