In the field of pharmaceutical circulation in China,there are problems such as low profitability,poor service capabilities,backward transportation processes and lack of effective management.Z company is a pharmaceutical distribution company controlled by Shanghai Pharmaceutical Co.,Ltd..It has established a complete pharmaceutical distribution system for grass-roots hospitals,level II and level III hospitals and pharmacies,with annual sales of 1.3 billion yuan.At present,the logistics distribution vehicle routing for customers mainly rely on manual labor and experience.With the increasingly fierce competition,this approach can no longer meet the development of Z company.Improving the efficiency of pharmaceutical logistics distribution,reasonably arranging vehicle routing to achieve cost reduction and efficiency improvement,is an important issue Z company concerns.This article analyzes the current distribution status of Z Pharmaceutical Company and identifies problems of it.A mathematical model and some algorithms are designed for the logistics distribution vehicle routing of Z company.In order to apply the optimization algorithm to the practical work of Z company,a pharmaceutical logistics distribution system is designed to help Z company effectively reduce the cost of logistics distribution.This article introduces the theories of Pharmaceutical logistics,vehicle routing problem,ant colony algorithm and mileage-saving algorithm and analyzes the problems of unreasonable delivery route selection,low vehicle loading rate,outdated management concept,and incompatible information system that cause delivery delays.Then a closed VRP mathematical model with single vehicle type,pure delivery,and hard time window constraints is established with minimizing vehicle delivery costs as the optimization objective.Then,taking the delivery data of Z Company on a certain morning in October 2022 as an example,the ant colony algorithm and mileage-saving algorithm are used to solve the model using MATLAB software and compared with traditional manual scheduling methods.The results show that under the condition of meeting customer time windows,the solution obtained using the ant colony algorithm is optimal: 2 fewer vehicles are needed compared to manual scheduling,only requiring 4 vehicles;the average loading rate is 77.42%,which is 25.80% higher than the loading rate of 51.61% obtained from manual scheduling.The logistics distribution vehicle routing of Z company is optimized,which saves the cost of distribution and optimizes the allocation of resources.The implementation of the optimization algorithm depends on computer system.In order to help Z Company use ant colony algorithm to achieve efficient delivery,this article conducts a demand analysis and design of pharmaceutical logistics distribution system and designs an application system interface for the system,improves the scheduling rules for hospital customers and pharmacy customers,reduces schedulers from two to one,and achieves effective management of vehicles,drivers,customers,maintenance,fuel consumption,etc.while implementing manual scheduling and intelligent loading.The system also has the effect of reducing costs,improving safety,timeliness,efficiency,and green low-carbon engineering applications.What’s more the research of this article can not only promote the improvement of distribution efficiency for Z company,but also have practical application significance for other similar pharmaceutical logistics Enterprises.
