| With the innovation of new media technology,the sinking of Internet applications and the expansion of social media,a series of short video platforms,represented by Tiktok,have gradually emerged.Because of their differentiated persona,entertaining content,lifelike narrative,professional production and commercial development,"Kids internetcelebrity" on the Tiktok platform have received a lot of attention and caused phenomenal communication.In this context,with the application of content analysis and interview method,this paper collects data of the top 20 "Kids internetcelebrity" accounts in Tiktok platform from June 30,2022 to October 30,2022.Based on third-party platforms "Grey Dolphin Data" and "Cicada Mom",the development status,communication characteristics,motivation and influence of “children’s net popularity” were analyzed.With the combination of cultural critical perspective,this paper purports to get a rational understanding of the profound impact of the phenomenon of “children’s Netflix” on individual children and society.The thesis holds that the technological empowerment of short videos has given children a new space for expression and meaning production.Children can enhance their self-identity and self-expression through short-video socialization.And the process of children’s short-video filming also creates a harmonious atmosphere of family interaction.However,under the excessive commercial logic in short video platforms and the gaze of common scenery,"children’s Netflix" are cognitively confused in the border between real and virtual,and influenced by alienating effects such as precociousness,utilitarianism and vulgarity.So the meaning of subjective discourse empowerment for children is gradually dissipated.The massive planning and production of videos will crowd out children’s time for life and learning,and the privacy leakage caused by unsound values and external gaze will easily affect children’s physical and mental health development.Children’s development is closely related to the development of society.In the process of children’s short video dissemination,communicators should establish a sense of responsibility to avoid excessive commercialization,entertainment and vulgarization of children’s short video content.At the same time,social subjects should also work together to build a solid firewall of children’s “alienation” and create a good media environment for children’s growth. |
