Research Report On Beihai Daily’s Integrated Media Coverage Of The "Seaward Economy"

This research report conducts a comprehensive analysis and integration of the "Seaward Economy" content on Beihai Daily’s electronic newspaper,We Chat public account,and We Chat video account from October 23,2020,to May 8,2022.It examines the quantity,frequency,type,and themes of the coverage frameworks,and includes in-depth interviews with the head of Beihai Daily’s integrated media publishing center and professional journalists to obtain firsthand information on the planning and integrated promotion of the "Seaward Economy" theme.Through the analysis and statistical evaluation of 547 content samples obtained from Beihai Daily’s integrated coverage platforms,the report reveals that Beihai Daily’s coverage of the "Seaward Economy" is generally positive,characterized by rich content,distinct themes,and in-depth analysis.However,there are issues such as a lack of innovation in presentation,limited content sources,and a lack of diverse perspectives.Additionally,a questionnaire survey was conducted among the residents of Beihai City to examine the usage of Beihai Daily’s integrated media.In-depth interviews were also conducted with 20 users of different professions and ages,and data analysis was performed on 531 survey questionnaires.From the audience’s perspective,the research explores the effectiveness of Beihai Daily’s integrated media practice,and uncovers the audience’s awareness of the ocean and the "Seaward Economy," their usage experience of Beihai Daily’s integrated coverage platforms,and their content demands.To enhance Beihai Daily’s utilization of integrated media in the "Seaward Economy" coverage,the report recommends tailored planning based on the platform’s characteristics,integration of more interactive activities that engage the audience,and improvement of the publicity strategy by selecting topics that resonate with audience needs and seeking cooperation with professional cultural media companies.By aligning with the development strategy of the "Seaward Economy" in Beihai,and effectively utilizing integrated media for content dissemination,the report suggests that Beihai Daily can stimulate public engagement in the implementation of the "Seaward Economy" policy by providing objective facts and perspectives,thereby playing a crucial role in fostering public awareness and involvement.
