Research On The Development Status Of Museum Education In Colleges And Universities In Henan Province

University museums are an important component of the modern education system and museum industry,undertaking important educational functions and responsibilities.In the "Opinions on Strengthening the Management of University Museums" issued by the General Office of the Ministry of Education in 2019,it was mentioned that university museums are an important carrier for improving the quality of higher education and strengthening the cultural construction of universities.The introduction of policies provides a good external environment for the healthy development of university museums,and institutionally guarantees and guides the scientific and efficient development of university museums.University museums,as affiliated institutions of universities,are important platforms for their teaching,research,and external exchanges.Meanwhile,as an important component of the museum industry,university museums should be open to the public and assume the function of providing public cultural services.At present,there are more than 40 university museums in Henan Province,with abundant cultural relics resources and professional research capabilities,which are conducive to better playing the educational role of university museums.Henan Provincial University Museums have carried out rich and diverse educational activities targeting different educational objects,utilizing professional courses into museums and other activities to serve professional teaching;Organize various exhibitions and lecture activities,committed to improving the cultural quality education and aesthetic ability of all teachers and students in the school;Carry out research and learning tourism,tour exhibitions into communities,and other activities to serve the public,and actively undertake the important mission of being a social education institution.Although significant progress has been made in the development of museum education in universities in Henan Province,there are still problems such as lack of prominent educational characteristics,relatively single educational content and form,insufficient special education funds,weak educational team strength,and narrow educational audience range.The reasons for many problems include insufficient utilization of educational resources in university museums,defects in the management system of university museums,vague educational positioning,and low publicity efforts.In the development process of university museums in Henan Province,in order to improve their educational level,it is necessary to do a good job in the following aspects: first,to fully utilize educational resources and enrich educational content.Secondly,improve the quality of research and digital utilization,and expand educational forms.Thirdly,we need to seek support from multiple parties and expand channels for funding sources.Fourthly,it is necessary to improve the personnel management model and improve the quality of the education team.Fifthly,it is necessary to strengthen multi-party cooperation,improve the radiation of educational services,build a development model centered on educational functions,and promote the high-quality development of museum education in universities in Henan Province.
