China’s elderly population is huge, and digital medical care has broad development space, but at present,China’s digital medical development has just started, and there is a big gap with developed countries. If we can explore the factors that affect the health information acquisition behavior of the elderly and help the improvement of the health information literacy of the urban elderly,we can help them better adapt to the survival mode in the digital medical era,so the health information acquisition behavior of the urban elderly plays an important role in the development level of digital healthcare. The research uses grounded theory and structural equation model, starting from interview data, and explores the factors affecting information acquisition of the elderly group from the perspective of combining qualitative and quantitative,so as to provide reference and reference for enriching the relevant research on the health information acquisition behavior of the elderly population in China.(1)A theoretical model of influencing factors of urban elderly health information acquisition behavior was constructed.Thirteen older people from cities were interviewed about their access to health information. Then, according to the layer-by-layer coding results of the resource discussion materials,4 main categories and 15 generic categories were summarized, and the establishment of a model affecting the access of health information by the urban elderly was completed. On this basis, the model is verified and analyzed by structural equation modeling technology, and it is concluded that the model has a good fit and strong explanatory power. The theoretical model is mainly composed of the following aspects, and personal factors, health literacy, information factors and social factors will have a positive impact on the health information acquisition behavior of urban elderly.(2)The theoretical model of influencing factors of urban elderly health information acquisition behavior was validated.Based on the qualitative research results, combined with Wilson and Johnson’s information behavior model, and comprehensively considering the influence of demographic factors and the digital medical environment,10 research hypotheses were proposed, and a model affecting the access to health information of urban elderly people was established based on these assumptions. The data of the study came from the online questionnaire distributed through the questionnaire star software, and the content was based on the interview results of the existing scales and qualitative research links of the relevant research, and the quality of the questionnaire was guaranteed by the reliability and validity analysis, and the study finally collected 206 valid questionnaires that could be used for subsequent data analysis. In this paper, the structural equation model was also used to test the theoretical hypothesis model constructed by the study, and the results showed that the model fit was good,8 research hypotheses were confirmed to be true, and the other 2 failed the test, that is,the hypothesis that information factors and gender had a significant impact on the health information acquisition behavior of the elderly population was not valid. The study found that there were differences in the performance of elderly people of different ages, education, occupations and incomes in obtaining health information, and the younger elderly with higher education level and higher income had a more positive attitude towards health information acquisition behavior and a stronger willingness to actively obtain information. The reason why the impact of information factors on the access of urban elderly health information may be because the elderly have limited learning ability, cannot use smart devices well, cannot accurately distinguish the quality of information, and the evaluation of information quality is not accurate enough,so they cannot better understand and use health information. At the same time, the study also found that optimism, communication and curiosity can help older people obtain and grasp health information in a timely manner.
