The unrelenting advent of the new media era has inevitably brought about an exemplary transition in news reporting, whose explicit manifestation at the business level is epitomized by the challenges in traditional means of writing. One of the noteworthy manifestations is the reporting conducted from a first-person perspective in terms of the feature writing.Revolving this new trajectory, this paper adopts the research methods of text analysis and in-depth interview with the first-person narrative of journalist "me" as the typical feature case, interviews feature journalists, editors and readers,as well as explores the characteristics, causes and effects of the narrative of the journalist "me" in the new media era.Last but not least, the theories of news narratology, media psychology, social psychology and other theories are leveraged to conduct analysis,so as to conclude the trajectory of the times and industry changes against the backdrop of the narrative of the journalist "me".That aside, its application criteria and risks are summarized to bring about reflections. The results of this paper show that(1)the narrative of the journalist "me" in the feature serves as the narrative preference brought about by the change in the teaching relationship between journalists and readers in the new media era.To start with, the relationship between readers and journalists has undergone the transition from "authoritative persuasion" to "companionship".Secondly,it also represents the characteristics of personified communication in the era of social media, from looking at the "text" to focusing on the "people";(2)The narrative of the journalist "me" in the feature is a differentiated competitive choice for the content in the new media era, which epitomizes the characteristics of the "postmodern" turn of the editorial department, which is featured by individual narrative,to respond to the challenges of timely communication with long-term writing by virtue of corresponding to the "post-truth" by being present;(3)The narrative of the journalist "me" in the feature is an exemplary innovation in terms of the text form in the new media era, which partially addresses the subjective and objective contradictions between among the features by virtue of presenting the process of gleaning information of journalists and the personal limitations of journalists, casting the methodological indications of qualitative research. The narrative of the journalist "me" in the feature is a positive and exemplary exploration and practice of the feature in the new media era, which meets the psychological needs of readers to attach importance to interactivity, communication and emotional connection in the era of change by osmosis. However,it can also bring about some hazards, including individualism, subjectivity bias, narrative trapping into individualization and micro-realization,and moral relativism of narrative. Therefore, the use of the first-person narrative in a feature hinges on the requirements of the topic selected by the journalists and the editorial office. In addition, the bottom line of the narrative should be strictly safeguarded and transferred to a public perspective when necessary.
