Study On Export Competitiveness And Influencing Factors Of Agricultural Products In Liaoning Province

Agriculture is the basic industry of China’s economic development.Liaoning Province is one of the major coastal agricultural economic provinces in China.The agricultural production location and natural conditions are relatively superior.In recent years,the export scale of agricultural products in Liaoning has increased and it plays an important role in China’s agricultural products trade.Relying on the advantages of agricultural location and natural endowment,Liaoning Province has always been assisting the revitalization of rural areas actively by developing the export trade of agricultural products,driving the development of agricultural and rural economy in Liaoning Province.Because the export of agricultural products in Liaoning Province mainly depends on primary agricultural products,the technical content is relatively low and the competitiveness is poor;In addition,with the gradual strengthening of the role of non-tariff trade barriers in international trade,especially the strengthening of green trade barriers and technical trade barriers,however,the export of agricultural products in Liaoning Province is facing great constraints in the practice of the development of agricultural export trade.Therefore,improving the export competitiveness of agricultural products in Liaoning Province is important for solving the practical problems faced by the export of agricultural products in Liaoning Province,by further promoting the sustainable development of agricultural export trade and further promoting the revitalization of rural areas,It has important theoretical and practical significance.Based on the research at home and abroad,taking the export competitiveness of agricultural products in Liaoning Province as the research object and drawing lessons from the relevant theories of international trade,this paper first analyzes the current situation of agricultural products export trade in Liaoning Province.From the perspective of total trade volume,the change trend of import and export trade volume of agricultural products trade in Liaoning Province is basically the same,and it shows a stable growth trend;From the perspective of trade structure,the export of agricultural products in Liaoning Province is mainly primary products,of which aquatic and marine products account for a large proportion.The export market is mainly for Asian countries such as Japan,Europe and North America.To sum up,the problems existing in the export of agricultural products in Liaoning Province are the relatively concentrated export market with high risk,the lack of competitiveness in the degree of processing agricultural products,the weak brand construction of agricultural products,and the lack of economies of scale.Secondly,the export competitiveness of agricultural products in Liaoning Province is calculated by using trade competition index(TC),international market share index(IMS),intra industry trade index(IIT)and revealed comparative advantage index(RCA).The results show that in recent years,there is still a certain gap between the trade competition index of agricultural products in Liaoning Province and agricultural products in Shandong Province.and the competitiveness in Liaoning are at a disadvantage in international competitiveness;In terms of market share,the international share of agricultural products in Liaoning Province is relatively low,which is far from that in Shandong Province;In terms of intra industry trade index,the intra industry trade index of agricultural products in Liaoning Province shows a fluctuating growth trend,indicating that the export trade of agricultural products in Liaoning Province is mainly intra industry trade;In terms of explicit comparative advantage index,the explicit comparative advantage of agricultural products in Liaoning Province is relatively significant.Although it fluctuates,it has a gradual upward trend in recent years.Thirdly,Porter diamond model is used to analyze the influencing factors of agricultural products export in Liaoning Province.The multiple regression results show that the number of employed people in the primary industry in Liaoning Province has a positive impact on the dominant comparative advantage index;Agricultural land area,per capita GDP,consumption level index of residents in Liaoning Province,total freight volume,application amount of agricultural chemical fertilizer and pesticide use,actual foreign investment in the primary industry in Liaoning Province,expenditure on agriculture,forestry and water affairs in Liaoning Province have a negative impact on the dominant comparative advantage index.Finally,the thesis will put forward targeted countermeasures and suggestions,including optimizing the export structure of agricultural products and implementing the brand strategy of agricultural products;Relying on financial support to enhance the competitiveness of agricultural products;exploring new trade markets through "Liaoning free trade zone" and "China Europe train";formulating policies related to the export of agricultural products to enhance competitiveness;improving the export competitiveness of agricultural products and helping the revitalization of rural areas in Liaoning Province through the construction of digital economy.
