Research On The Impact Mechanism Of Artificial Intelligence On Employment

In recent years,artificial intelligence technology and related industries have made great progress in China.The country has not only issued relevant policies for several consecutive years to promote the development and application of artificial intelligence,but has also continuously increased investment in the field of artificial intelligence,making my country the second largest investor in artificial intelligence.Artificial intelligence has become an important growth point of my country’s economy.Not only will AI boost economic growth,it will also have a huge impact on the job market.Artificial intelligence has great potential for development,and employment will affect people’s production and life.It is of great practical significance to study the impact of artificial intelligence on employment.As a new technology,artificial intelligence has studied the mechanism of artificial intelligence affecting employment from various perspectives and methods,but there is no unified conclusion on whether artificial intelligence promotes employment or inhibits employment.This paper uses a combination of theoretical analysis and empirical testing to explore the impact of artificial intelligence on the number and structure of employment in my country,and to provide feasible suggestions for the coordinated development of employment and artificial intelligence in China.Based on the relevant theories of Marx,Schumpeter and others,this paper analyzes the mechanism of artificial intelligence on employment from the perspective of employment quantity and employment structure.First of all,theoretically analyze the impact mechanism of artificial intelligence on the number of jobs and employment structure.On the one hand,artificial intelligence has a destructive effect on the number of jobs through productivity effects,new product effects,consumer demand effects,management effects and institutional effects.On the other hand,Artificial intelligence also creates jobs through price effects,productivity effects,income effects,and social division of labor effects.AI will also change the employment structure by affecting industry structure,industry structure and skill structure.Next,collect and organize relevant data to describe the current situation of artificial intelligence development and employment.Finally,this paper uses the provincial panel data from 2005 to 2019 to empirically analyze the impact of artificial intelligence on the number and structure of employment.The research results show that artificial intelligence will promote the growth of employment in my country.From an industrial perspective,AI will lead to a decrease in employment in the primary industry and an increase in employment in the secondary and tertiary industries.The development of artificial intelligence will have a negative impact on low-skilled employment and a positive impact on middle-and high-skilled employment,thereby changing the employment structure.Based on theoretical and empirical analysis,this paper proposes that the government should work with enterprises and workers to respond to the challenges of artificial intelligence to employment,promote the coordinated development of artificial intelligence and employment,and enable workers to better benefit from the advancement of artificial intelligence technology.
