| Mindset is the internal psychological mechanism for an individual to observe, describe, interpret and predict the external world. The study of mindsets on people’s learning, movement and emotional control has been very mature, and previous studies have shown that implicit mindsets have an important impact on individual cognition. In the past ten years, the study of mindset has extended to the field of management.Research has found that growth mindsets(whether long-term recognized or contexttriggered)are associated with a number of positive organizational performance outcomes that can be broadly grouped into four categories: self-assessment,assessment of others, motivation and engagement, and performance(Keating & Heslin,2015).When entrepreneurs and leaders make strategic decisions and day-to-day management, their mindsets play an important role in corporate culture and actions, and determine how they take specific leadership behaviors in management.Specifically,it is the leader’s mind that forms the clues of the leader’s subjective preference, guides the leader’s behavior, and affects the organization’s mind and cultural atmosphere and norms.Theoretically, the mindset of leadership will ultimately affect the performance of employees or companies through different channels, but from the current research progress, empirical research is still insufficient, especially in the domestic corporate environment, how to predict the mindset of leadership in the workplace Individual and organizational behaviors and outcomes, such as managerial behavior, organizational mentality, corporate culture, individual employee performance, and team performance, lack corresponding actual evidence.Based on the above, this paper has the following two research purposes: first,to examine the impact of leadership mindsets on individual performance and team performance in Chinese corporate environments;second,to explore the mechanism by which leadership mindsets affect performance and improve leadership training Efficiency,so as to help enterprises allocate resources more effectively and maximize profits. This paper designs two studies to study the influence of leadership mindsets on employee individual performance and team performance through different ways.Study1 surveyed 419 employees and 92 middle-level leaders in a large company with a growth mindset as the core concept,to test whether middle-level leaders’ mindsets have an impact on effective leadership behavior and employee job satisfaction, then ultimate impact individual performance results.Study 2 investigated 16 corporate decision makers and 438 employees in 16 small or medium-sized enterprises, and tested whether the mindsets of corporate decision makers’ had an impact on corporate core values??and corporate culture, then ultimately affected team performance.Through the research, the following conclusions are made:1.The influence of leadership mindset on effective leadership behavior is not significant.3.The mindset of an employee significantly affects individual performance.4.The leader’s mindset has a significant impact on organizational mindset, corporate culture and team performance.Organizational mindset and corporate culture have chain mediating effects on leadership mindset and employee team performance.5.The mindset of employees has a moderating effect on team performance. The above results show that mindsets play an important role in business management, but not in all situations.Enterprise management is a complex behavior involving many factors, and the mindset of the leader presents different results under the combined action of many factors that affect leadership. The conclusion of this study is that compared with middle-level leaders, the mindset of corporate decision makers plays a more significant role in management.Organizational mindset and corporate culture play a mediating role, employees’ mindset plays a moderating role. |
