OFDI Reverse Technology Spillover,Entrepreneurship And Regional Innovation Performance

In recent years,China’s economic development has gradually shifted from relying mainly on labor,land and other traditional resources to relying on science and technology development.How to improve regional innovation performance and realize the Chinese dream of innovation power has always been one of the hotspots of regional economics.On the basis of literature review,this paper first summarizes the mechanism and path of improving regional innovation performance from OFDI reverse technology spillover,and emphasizes the important role of entrepreneurship.one side,The innovative spirit and entrepreneurial spirit of profit pursuit can affect the choice of foreign direct investment destinations and investment industries,as well as the enthusiasm of employees to learn new technology knowledge in the flow of talents,Furthermore,the competition effect,inter-industry spillover and talent flow effect of OFDI reverse technology spillover in the process of regional innovation performance are enhanced,Improve the efficiency of resource allocation;on the other hand,While ex FDI and innovation generate excess profits,Often accompanied by a high-risk profile,Facing the uncertainty of the innovation results,Entrepreneurs,innovative and entrepreneurial,are more inclined to make product and technological innovations in new markets,Thus affecting the process of OFDI reverse technology spillover acting on regional innovation performance.Secondly,this paper briefly analyzes the current situation of China’s foreign direct investment,regional innovation performance and entrepreneurial spirit development.Overall,China’s OFDI stock increased year by year from 2011 to 2018,with the east being the main FDI region,but mainly concentrated in industries with low technology level;regional innovation performance and entrepreneurship development remained at low level,with the innovation performance ranked from high to low in eastern,central and western;the entrepreneurial average in eastern China is much higher than the central and western regions,while the western region is slightly higher than the central regions.Then,the panel regression model and the threshold regression model are used to empirically test the relationship between the OFDI reverse technology spillover,entrepreneurship and regional innovation performance.Empirical test results show that at the provincial level,OFDI reverse technology spillover can significantly promote the improvement of regional innovation performance,but at the eastern,central and western region levels,OFDI reverse technology spillover only significantly improves the regional innovation performance in the eastern region.In addition,there is a significant threshold effect of entrepreneurship,that is,with the improvement of entrepreneurship level,the promotion effect of OFDI reverse technology spillover on regional innovation performance will be improved.However,at the level of the eastern,central and western regions,the significance of the threshold effect is quite different.There is a single threshold effect in both the eastern and western regions.When entrepreneurship crosses the first-order threshold value,technology spillover obtained from external direct investment increases the positive impact of regional innovation performance,while there is no threshold effect in the central region.Finally,based on the research conclusion,this paper puts forward that from foreign direct investment should obtain more technology overflow and improve the entrepreneurial spirit two perspectives,by increasing technology acquisition type foreign direct investment,build fair competition market environment,improve the system of innovation protection and broaden the innovative entrepreneurship financing channels four ways to improve regional innovation performance.
