| With the rapid development of mobile Internet and the wide application of new technologies such as algorithmic management, big data and cloud computing, platformbased organizations have given birth to a new employment mode of casual labor, which also brings huge employment opportunities to migrant workers. However, there are big differences between this casual labor method and traditional employment method, and migrant workers face big challenges in the process of adapting to this new employment method, which in turn results in different employment behaviors. Some migrant workers are able to abide by the platform rules and cooperate with the platform for a long time, while others are unable to adapt or even quit the platform. The psychological mechanisms of why migrant workers have different behavioral responses in cooperation with platform-based organizations need to be further studied.Based on event system theory and cognitive appraisal theory, this study considers subversive cooperative events between migrant workers and platform-based organizations as stressors, resulting in two different types of cognitive appraisals:challenging appraisals and hindering appraisals, classifies cooperative behaviors into positive rule-following behaviors and negative willingness to terminate cooperation, and then constructs the interaction between subversive cooperative events and learning goal orientation of platform-based organizations to influence migrant workers’ cooperative behaviors Dual path model. The positive path mainly explores the positive influence of the above interaction effect on migrant workers’ rule-following behavior through challenging evaluation;the negative path explores the positive influence of the above interaction effect on migrant workers’ willingness to terminate cooperation through hindering evaluation. On this basis, the above dual-path model was empirically tested by using multiple linear regression method with 186 migrant workers who cooperated with platform-based organizations. The results of the study found that only the positive influence path was verified in the dual-path model,specifically,(1)the interaction effect of disruptive event of cooperation and learning goal orientation positively influenced migrant workers’ challenging evaluations,and(2)the interaction effect of disruptive event of cooperation and learning goal orientation indirectly influenced rule-following behavior through challenging evaluations. And the negative influence path was not supported. On this basis, this study proposes countermeasures to promote cooperation between migrant workers and platform-based organizations. This paper applies the event system theory to the cooperation between migrant workers and platform-based organizations, and analyzes the formation mechanism of the differentiation of migrant workers’ cooperative behavior from the perspective of cognitive evaluation, which not only helps to enrich the research on event system theory, cognitive evaluation theory and the problem of flexible employment of migrant workers, but also has insights for promoting flexible employment and improving the quality of migrant workers’ employment. |
