As a core industry driving China’s economic development,advanced manufacturing has become a key focus area for innovation research.With the vigorous development of digital economy,data elements have metamorphosed into key elements.China’s manufacturing industry is still facing difficulties in the digital economy in terms of poor utilization of data elements,weak independent innovation capability and slow improvement of total factor productivity.It is significant for China’s manufacturing industry to achieve innovational and leapfrog development,which needs to strengthen the research and development of frontier technology and promote technological innovation to seize the high ground of scientific and technological innovation to grasp the strategic opportunity of digital economy revolution.Therefore,how to optimize the allocation of data factor resources,promote the development of technological innovation,and then raise the standard of total factor productivity has become an urgent problem to be solved.Taking advanced manufacturing industry as the research object,this dissertation firstly investigates data factors and total factor productivity,and then embeds technological innovation as a mediating variable,and verifies it through empirical analysis.Firstly,based on production factor theory,endogenous growth theory and technology innovation theory,this research establishes a brand new coherent theoretical framework of data factor,technology innovation and total factor productivity,and clarifies the mechanism of the influence of data factor,technology innovation and total factor productivity.Secondly,theoretical and empirical evidence are combined to construct a basic regression model of data factor and total factor productivity and a model with technological innovation as the mediating effect.With the help of micro data of advanced manufacturing industry,descriptive statistics,regression analysis and mediating effect test are used to test the model and explore the influence of data factor input on total factor productivity and the mediating effect of technological innovation in advanced manufacturing industry.The results show that both data factor inputs and technological innovation in advanced manufacturing industry positively affect total factor productivity,and the positive effect of data factor inputs on technological innovation is significant,and the mediating role of technological innovation is obvious.In order to improve the credibility of the obtained results,this research intelligent uses the substitution variable method,industry-specific and region-specific methods to conduct robustness tests,and the further test results are basically same as the original regression results.This dissertation puts data elements,technological innovation and total factor productivity of advanced manufacturing industry into the same framework for research.It reveals the influence mechanism of data elements on total factor productivity,and proposes feasible policy suggestions on data elements,technological innovation and total factor productivity of advanced manufacturing industry from enterprise perspective,industry level and government perspective,which enriches the relevant theoretical research in this field,provides solid theoretical foundation for advanced manufacturing industry to improve total factor productivity,and supplies reference for advanced manufacturing industry and correlative corporation to adapt to the evolution of digital era.
