| In recent years,the outbreak of epidemic viruses such as SARS,avian influenza virus and COVID-19 has posed severe challenges to China’s medical and health services and sustainable economic growth.On the one hand,the development of medical and health services has played a more obvious role in national economic and social development,especially in expanding domestic demand and promoting economic and social development.But on the other hand,with the rapid development of industrialization and urbanization in China and the accelerated aging of population,people are facing more and more complex health problems.Public health expenditure is a kind of public expenditure that the government provides people with certain welfare.It plays an important role in improving people’s physical health status,enhancing human capital level,and promoting the coordinated development of national and regional economy.However,in the process of marketization of China’s medical and health system reform,the government in the costs of health care was falling at the same time increased the family personal health spending,coupled with the unbalanced economic development in China,the vast difference between the fiscal revenue of local government led to significant in terms of health service supply of the regional differences.Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is a concentrated concentration of ethnic minorities,the economic slowdown in recent years has increased the financial pressure on the government’s public health expenditure.Therefore,paying attention to the public health infrastructure services,the scale and structure of public health expenditure and other people’s livelihood issues in Inner Mongolia,deeply analyzing the relationship between public health expenditure and economic growth,and then rationalizing the impact of public health expenditure on economic growth,can achieve the purpose of reasonable allocation of financial medical and health resources.Under the framework of Cobb-Douglas production function model,this paper introduces the variable of public health expenditure,and uses the panel data of twelve urban areas in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region from 2010 to 2020,taking the proportion of labor and physical capital input as the main control variables,to deeply study the relationship between public health expenditure and economic growth.The results show that there is a significant positive correlation between public health expenditure and national economic development in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.An increase of about 1 percent in public health expenditure will cause the economic growth of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region to change in the same direction between 0.423 percent and 0.642 percent.Finally,based on the conclusion test,this paper puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions in terms of expanding the scope of medical and health payment,ensuring grassroots public health expenditure,improving the efficiency of public health expenditure and improving the public health expenditure security system. |
