Northeast Regional Economic Integration Level Measurement Analysis

Regional economic integration can be regarded as an irreversible trend of regional economic development as well as a reasonable allocation of regional resources.The most representative of China’s regional economic integration is the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and the Yangtze River Delta.Since the founding of the People’s Republic of China,the Northeast region is known as the "eldest son of the Republic",and it is one of the four old industrial bases in China.However,with the establishment and continuous improvement of China’s socialist market economic system,the northeast region still develops its economy according to the original planned economy model and its thinking model has not been changed in time,which eventually leads to the economic development gradually falling behind some developed regions.In this year’s "Fourteenth Five-Year"planning report pointed out that "to promote regional coordinated development.To make new breakthroughs in Northeast China’s revitalization,we need to create innovation platforms and new growth poles.At the same time,we need to improve strategic coordination among different regions,build platforms for regional cooperation and mutual assistance,and establish mechanisms for inter-regional benefit compensation,so as to better promote the coordinated development of developed and underdeveloped regions."This report is for the northeast regional economic integration of the future development pointed out the direction of progress.The northeast regional economic integration is the topic of this paper research,in the current beijing-tianjin-hebei region economy coordinated development and the development of the Yangtze river delta regional economic integration background,based on the basic theories of regional economics,using the empirical analysis method to measure the northeast regional economic integration level,through the cause analysis and countermeasures are-given,hoping to for northeast China power.In the empirical analysis,this paper selects 18 indicators from four dimensions,including economic growth,social development,infrastructure construction and ecological environment,to construct the urban comprehensive quality system.Then the comprehensive mass of cities is substituted into the modified gravity model to measure the strength of economic ties between cities.Finally,Finally,the intensity of economic connection between cities is substituted into the social network analysis method to measure the level of regional economic integration in Northeast China.The results show that there is a trend of regional economic integration in Northeast China,but the level of development is low.On the basis of this study,the paper analyzes the existing problems of regional economic integration in Northeast China,which are mainly caused by the slow industrial upgrading within the region,the lack of integration cooperation mechanism within the region,the imperfect accessibility of transportation infrastructure,and the ecological pollution within the region that reduces the quality of integration development.Based on the principle of treating both symptoms and root causes,and with the help of excellent experience in the development of regional economic integration in China,this paper puts forward supporting feasible countermeasures to improve the process of regional economic integration in Northeast China:promoting industrial transformation and upgrading;To build an integrated cooperation mechanism;Perfect the construction of transportation network;Take coordinated action on environmental governance.
