| Our country has always been a big agricultural country,along with the continuous development of economy,agricultural animal husbandry is more and more important in the national economy.The biological assets of most animal husbandry enterprises account for a high proportion of their assets,and their characteristics such as long growth cycle,wide distribution,complicated inventory process,and easy economic value to be affected by climate environment lead to high audit risks.Therefore,audit failures of physical assets often occur in recent years.However,a set of systematic and targeted audit techniques have not been explored for the biological assets audit at present.However,as an important part of the audit process of listed enterprises in agriculture and animal husbandry,the study of biological assets audit techniques and methods is very necessary.By combing domestic and foreign literature,combining relevant theories and studying failed cases of biological assets audit,this paper summarizes the problems in the process of biological assets audit,explores the limitations of traditional biological assets audit technology and methods,and introduces new audit technology and methods to make it more compatible with the important and difficult points of biological assets audit.Taking the biological assets audit case of Huishan Dairy as the research object,the enterprise mainly deals with the processing and sale of dairy products,and operates in a one-stop mode from cattle breeding to crop raising.KPMG undertook its audit for three consecutive years from 2014 to 2016,but finally declared the audit failed in 2016.It can be found from the audit techniques adopted by KPMG in the audit of its biological assets:firstly,the existing audit methods are difficult to ensure the authenticity of the obtained biological assets audit data,and there are limitations in the application of analysis methods to the biological assets related data;Moreover,the valuation of biological assets is complicated,and it is difficult to carry out risk assessment procedures for the existing auditing techniques.Finally,the sampling method is difficult to meet the requirements of biological assets supervision and collection of evidence,unable to obtain the real situation of the number of biological assets and other problems.Based on the above problems,this paper proposes to introduce new biological assets audit technology and methods to solve the existing problems.Firstly,blockchain technology can be used to build a blockchain biological assets audit technology platform,which is conducive to ensuring the reliability of auditors’ access to original data and solving the limitations in the application of analysis methods.Secondly,the embedded parallel technology is introduced to track the internal control of the audited entity,so that auditors can evaluate its risk better.Finally,innovative biological assets auditing techniques and methods such as spatial information technology can be reasonably used to help auditors fully understand the quantity and quality of biological assets by using spatial data so as to obtain sufficient and appropriate audit evidence.The introduction of the above three new audit techniques and methods can help auditors better optimize audit techniques and methods.On the one hand,it is more accurate and appropriate to obtain audit evidence in the process of biological assets audit.On the other hand,it can protect the interests of investors,improve the audit quality and better play the appraisal role of audit. |
