Empirical Analysis Of Service Trade Exports On Economic Development

Since the reform and opening up,China’s economy has grown rapidly,with its GDP ranking second in the world in 2010.Since China joined the World Trade Organization in 2001,its export volume has continued to grow rapidly.In 2009,it became the world’s largest exporter,especially with a steady increase in the proportion of service trade exports.Especially in the 2020 Global Service Trade Development Index Report released by the Ministry of Commerce,China’s comprehensive competitiveness in service trade ranked first among developing countries during the 13th Five Year Plan period.As a major country in service trade,how to maintain sustained economic growth while ensuring high-quality economic development is currently a problem that China needs to face.In this context,combined with the main economic indicators of economic and social development in the 14th Five Year Plan,the impact of service trade exports on economic development is studied.This article explores the impact of service trade exports on economic development from both theoretical analysis and empirical research perspectives.In terms of theory,based on existing literature research,this thesis describes the main economic effects of service trade on economic development,summarizes the mechanism of service trade exports on economic development,and proposes a research hypothesis that service trade exports promote economic development.In terms of empirical research,drawing on current scholars’ methods of measuring economic development,this article sorts out the main economic and social development indicators of the "14th Five Year Plan" outline,and uses data on the import and export volume of service trade and the main economic and social development indicators of 30 provinces and cities in China from 2011 to 2020 as research samples.The entropy weight method is used to construct an economic development index,Using panel regression model to empirically analyze the relationship between service trade exports and economic development index,it is concluded that service trade exports have a positive promoting effect on economic development;With the help of mesomeric effect analysis,this thesis analyzes the process of the impact of service trade exports on economic development,and summarizes the marginal utility of foreign direct investment on service trade exports affecting economic development.Finally,this article provides some policy recommendations for the comprehensive recovery and green and healthy development of the economy after the epidemic by analyzing the current situation of the impact of service trade exports on economic development and the empirical results of the impact of service trade exports on economic development.The innovation of this article lies in the theoretical construction of an economic development index that keeps up with the times and describes the mechanism of the role of service trade in economic development;In terms of empirical analysis,we innovatively constructed variables that affect economic development,used panel regression models to study the relationship between service trade exports and economic development indicators,and conducted innovative empirical analysis based on the mechanism of the impact of service trade exports on economic development.We summarized and summarized the relationship between service trade exports and economic development.
