| Due to the uncertainty of independent innovation results and the high time cost,Chinese enterprises often acquire knowledge and technology from other target enterprises and their host countries through cross-border technology mergers and acquisitions to achieve enterprise innovation.However,the existing literature on cross-border technology mergers and acquisitions often considers objective factors,and rarely analyzes how the behavior of corporate entities in the process of technology mergers and acquisitions affects corporate innovation,and it is difficult to describe the impact path of multinational technology mergers and acquisitions to corporate innovation.Based on this,from the perspective of resource arrangement,on the basis of sorting out and summarizing the literature related to resource arrangement theory and enterprise innovation,this paper sorts out China Tianying’s crossborder technology mergers and acquisitions.Combination,resource bundling,and resource leveraging are carried out to analyze the arrangement of resources,analyze the internal logical connection between the three crossborder technology mergers and acquisitions,and finally use the innovation performance indicators to evaluate Tianying’s innovation ability.This paper finds that cross-border technology mergers and acquisitions are not completely independent events.The resources and experience acquired by cross-border technology mergers and acquisitions in the past will be arranged with existing resources,thereby further affecting the next mergers and acquisitions.Secondly,the resource arrangement process is not static,and needs to be adjusted according to strategic goals and resource conditions.Orderly arrangement makes enterprise resources from simple to complex,resource bundling methods change from single to diverse,and the degree of resource leveraging changes accordingly.Finally,cross-border technology mergers and acquisitions can bring about the improvement of innovation capabilities,but there is a certain order in the way of resource combination,resource bundling and resource leveraging,which will also have a certain impact on innovation performance.This paper puts forward three specific suggestions for enterprises trying to carry out cross-border technology mergers and acquisitions: First,enterprises should have an overall strategic thinking,and use the resources and experience acquired by previous cross-border technology mergers and acquisitions to reasonably arrange future cross-border technology mergers and acquisitions.Second,in addition to focusing on the acquisition of resources,enterprises also need to dynamically adjust the way of resource combination,resource bundling and resource leveraging,and build a new channel for circular growth between resources and innovation capabilities.Third,enterprises should pay attention to the selection sequence of resource arrangement methods and follow the changing laws in order to achieve more efficient innovation performance improvement. |
