| Logistics industry plays an irreplaceable role in the development of national economy, and it is called the "third source of profit".Specifically, with the continuous promotion of science and technology, the development of logistics industry has become a key factor of economic growth in the world today, which can not only reflect the economic strength of a country, but also serve as an indicator of the level of global economic development.Despite the rapid economic development in China, there are still many problems of misused resources, declining environmental quality and increasing air pollution, all of which have a huge negative impact on society. As the provinces along the Yellow River Basin have fragile ecology and weak resource and environmental carrying capacity, the development of high-quality economic transformation under the constraints of low-carbon conditions is imperative.By taking the distribution industry, which consumes more energy,as the entry point, and through in-depth research on the influencing factors of low-carbon logistics and its efficiency in the Yellow River Basin,we can not only reduce the unit carbon emissions, promote the sustainable development of the economy and reduce the current pressure of energy supply, but also effectively improve the efficiency of energy use in the logistics field,so that the regional low-carbon logistics efficiency improvement provides reference significance.Based on the data of nine provinces along the Yellow River Basin from 2012-2021,the study to evaluate the impact factors of low carbon logistics and its efficiency in the Yellow River Basin of China is launched.Firstly, the relevant data are processed to calculate the total energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions of the nine provinces along the Yellow River Basin, and this data is included in the measurement of evaluating the impact factors and efficiency values of low-carbon logistics.Secondly, the gray correlation analysis is used to calculate the degree of gray correlation between various influencing factors involved in the development of logistics industry and carbon dioxide emissions in the provinces along the Yellow River Basin,so as to find out the main factors affecting the development of low-carbon logistics in the region and lay the foundation for the next construction of input-output evaluation index system. Finally, the three-stage DEA model is used to evaluate the efficiency of low-carbon logistics, and the Malmquist index is applied to measure the total factor productivity of low-carbon logistics. The study points out that(1)the logistics industry in the nine provinces of the Yellow River Basin has developed rapidly during 2012-2021,and its energy consumption has continued to increase, while CO2 emissions have shown a significant fluctuating growth trend.(2)Changes in economic structure have the most significant impact on carbon emissions from the logistics industry in the nine provinces of the Yellow River Basin, with the greatest impact on fixed investment in the logistics industry, which indicates that planning and upgrading logistics infrastructure is a key factor in achieving low-carbon logistics development.(3)Low-carbon logistics efficiency is influenced by external environmental variables such as the level of scientific and technological development, the degree of industrial structure optimization, and the level of information development;after eliminating external influences and random errors, except for the four provinces that have reached DEA validity, the comprehensive technical efficiency of the remaining five provinces has changed significantly, among which, the comprehensive technical efficiency values of low-carbon logistics in Shanxi and Sichuan provinces have increased significantly;capital, labor, energy consumption, and slack in CO2 emissions play a positive role in the growth of low-carbon logistics efficiency values;among the provinces with low ranking in comprehensive efficiency values, low scale efficiency is the main reason limiting the improvement of comprehensive technical efficiency.(4)Through dynamic analysis,it is found that technological progress is the key factor driving the growth of total factor productivity, and the role of technical efficiency is not obvious.(5)On this basis,we propose: establishing the concept of low-carbon logistics development;improving energy structure;strengthening overall collaboration;and improving regional low-carbon logistics policies to promote the continuous development of low-carbon logistics in the provinces along the Yellow River Basin. |
