Research On China’s International Standardization Strategy Under The Situation Of International Standardization

Under the background of peace and development as the theme of this era,the competition for the right to formulate technical standards in various countries around the world has replaced military conflicts as an important factor affecting the reform of the international system,because whether it has mastered the right to formulate international standards in the field of cutting-edge technology,which profoundly affects whether a country occupies a favorable position in the fierce competition in the international market.Based on this,since the beginning of the 21st century,major developed countries and regions such as the United States,Japan,Canada and the European Union have begun to develop their own standardization strategies and continuously improve their international standardization level and ability through various measures.However,because of the backwardness of China’s early technological level and economic development level,the importance of standardization work was not realized as early as possible.Therefore,we are in a disadvantageous position frequently in the competition of international standard setting right,which causes potential and direct influences on relevant industries and national economic security.It is therefore of crucial practical importance to analyze comprehensively China’s international standardization strategy under the situation of international standardization by combining interior and exterior factors.However,a single analysis of a factor is not enough to fully reflect the current environment of China’s international standardization strategy.Therefore,this paper uses the relevant theories of economics and management,incorporates the complex interior and exterior environment of China’s international standard setting through the method of SWOT and PEST analysis,and analyzes the relevant policies and other factors in China from the political level.Economically,it analyses the factors of China’s economic situation;at the social level,it analyzes the standardization consciousness of the people and the standardization ecosystem;at the technical level,it analyzes the new round of technological revolution and the technological monopoly of developed countries,and comprehensively analyzes the positive and negative effects of various factors on China’s international standardization strategy.Finally,a strategy matrix is formed based on selected interior strengths and weaknesses as well as exterior opportunities and challenges.Firstly,based on reviewing and summarizing the basic theory of international standardization,this article presents the concept and type of international standards,as well as the origin,development,content and new trend of international standardization.The second chapter primarily presents the actual state of China’s international standardization,including the general situation and main field distribution of China’s international standardization,and also highlights the inadequacies of China’s international standardization relative to developed countries;The third chapter,on account of the SWOT analysis method,analyzes the interior and exterior surroundings of China’s international standard-setting work from the four aspects of advantages,disadvantages,opportunities and threats in combination with the four factors of politics,economy,society and technology.Chapter four begins by defining China’s subject positioning and target positioning of China’s international standardization strategy,then provides SO tactics,ST tactics,WO tactics and WT tactics with different focuses,and finally puts forward the improvement path of China’s international standardization work.
