Research On Risk Management Strategy Of Financial Leasing Company

Financial leasing was born in United States in the 20 th century,while it started in the 1980 s in China.However,its fastest development stage is in the last decade.Now it has become an indispensable part of social and economic development.At this stage,China’s economy is in a critical period of industrial structure transformation and upgrading.Under the guidance of the national policy of " getting rid of the virtual and turning to reality ",the development of manufacturing SMEs is particularly important,and financial leasing can greatly help SMEs solve the problem of financing difficulties.While supporting the development of small and medium-sized enterprises,financial leasing companies need to always do a good job in managing various risks in order to ensure the healthy and sustainable development of the industry.In this context,it is necessary to study the risks faced by financial leasing companies and propose countermeasures.Based on the research of many domestic and foreign scholars on financial leasing and the author’s long-term experience in related work.This thesis first introduces the basic concepts of financial leasing,for example risk types.Then take JS Leasing company as a case,collect a large amount of relevant information about financial data,asset data and questionnaires.Analyze these data in a qualitative and quantitative way from the external macro environment and internal management measures to find out the shortcomings of the risk management strategy.Finally,combined with theory and practice,specific risk prevention suggestions are put forward for JS Leasing company.The risk types described in this thesis include policy risk,interest rate risk,market risk,credit risk,compliance risk,liquidity risk,etc.,which basically cover the main risks faced by financial leasing enterprises.Some of these risks are relatively uncontrollable,such as policy risk,which includes the regulatory changes of the national departments on the financial leasing industry and the policy changes of the industry which the leasing company conducts business.Financial leasing companies are financial enterprises,and the risk of loss of principal mainly comes from customer credit risk,which is related to all aspects of the company’s business.To prevent this risk,not only professional ability and long-term experience accumulation in the business field are required,but also overall arrangements must be to establish a comprehensive risk management system.At the same time,employee training and supervision should be strengthened,and the synergy effect of mutual support of various departments of the company should be finally realized.In the process of studying JS Leasing company,we first have a comprehensive understanding of the company’s business direction,organizational structure and management model.Then sort out and analyze the company’s internal risk management policies and operational guidance documents.Starting with the operating results and asset quality in recent years,combined with the results of the questionnaire,we found that the company has some business shrinkage,unbalanced regional development,insufficient department coordination,and relatively weak post-lease management and the way of financing is too centralized.Finally,with full consideration of the characteristics of the financial leasing industry,this thesis proposes operational measures to deal with risks.Such as doing a good job of risk warning,innovating business models,enriching due diligence methods,improving the post-lease management system,establishing the "AB Roles" mechanism,and broadening financing channels,hoping to provide useful reference for the risk management of financial leasing companies.
