In 2021,China has achieved the first centenary goal, made a historic breakthrough in the problem of absolute poverty, and completed the building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects. As a result,China’s poverty alleviation goal has been transformed to solve the problem of multi-dimensional relative poverty, which is the key link for all people to move towards common prosperity.Inclusive finance improves the coverage breadth of financial services, but it is still difficult to avoid the problem of financial exclusion in remote or poor areas.Digital inclusive finance fills the defects existing in traditional inclusive finance. Therefore, how to use science and technology to cover every corner of financial services, further reduce the gap between the rich and the poor, and effectively alleviate the multi-dimensional relative poverty in rural areas? It has important practical significance and research value.Firstly, this paper studies and sorts out the theories and literature related to digital inclusive finance and rural multidimensional relative poverty, and defines the connotation of digital inclusive finance and rural multidimensional relative poverty.Secondly, this paper analyzes the current situation of digital inclusive finance from the perspective of development process, business development, advantages and disadvantages, and analyzes the current situation of rural multi-dimensional relative poverty from the five dimensions of income, education, medical resources, employment and living standard. Then, based on the panel data of 592 prefecture-level cities where the national key poverty-stricken counties are located from 2012 to 2020,this paper constructs a model, and uses econometric methods such as panel regression model and threshold regression model to empirically test the impact of digital inclusive finance on the alleviation of rural multi-dimensional relative poverty. This study draws the following conclusions:on the whole, digital inclusive finance can effectively alleviate multi-dimensional relative poverty in rural areas, but the poverty reduction effect is heterogeneous in different regions, and it has a significant effect on alleviating multi-dimensional relative poverty in rural areas in the eastern and western regions; From the perspective of different dimensions of digital inclusive finance, its contribution rate to poverty reduction from high to low is the depth of use, coverage breadth and digitalization degree; From the perspective of transmission channels, digital inclusive finance alleviates multi-dimensional relative poverty in rural areas through two channels:economic growth effect and income distribution effect; The poverty reduction effect of digital inclusive finance has the threshold effect of economic development and industrial structure. Finally, based on the above empirical research conclusions, this paper puts forward targeted policy suggestions from the four aspects of system construction, resource allocation, business environment and financial literacy, and puts forward relevant prospects for future research work.
