| Enterprises have a significant impact on the national economy and social development.As an important indicator for measuring the results of enterprise operation and development,the study of enterprise performance is of great significance.Nowadays,the management model of separating ownership and management rights is widely implemented in listed enterprises in China.With the advent of the knowledge economy era,enterprises have increasingly high requirements for the comprehensive abilities of senior managers.In daily business management,top management decisions have a significant impact on corporate performance,and exploring the relationship between the executive team and corporate performance has important practical significance.In existing research on executive teams,most studies only focus on the personal characteristics of the chairman and general manager.However,for the senior management of a company,each position plays a very important role.Therefore,it is necessary to include every member of the executive team in the scope of research and consider the overall impact of executive team characteristics on the enterprise.Based on the above considerations,this article takes FYD Company as a case enterprise to collect and process data on the age,gender,education status,as well as the size and salary of all members of the executive team of FYD Company from 2007 to 2021.Through the analysis of the characteristics of the senior management team,we found that the average age,gender ratio,education level and salary of the senior management team of FYD Company affect the corporate performance.At the same time,through comparative analysis with two companies in the same industry,it was found that the executive team of FYD Company has a relatively old average age,a high proportion of males,an inflated educational level,and a small salary gap.Based on the specific impact of the characteristics of the executive team and corporate performance,this paper proposes optimization strategies for FYD Company’s corporate performance: optimizing the structure of the executive team and increasing the proportion of young and female executives;The executive team should have the ability to match their educational background;The salary gap between executives should be widened;Continue to encourage executives to receive MBA education to enhance their competitiveness in the workplace. |
