Chinese ginseng industry is one of the important industries in China’s agriculture,which has a long history and a wide range of application fields.In recent years,the industry has made remarkable development,and its market share,output and sales are in a leading position.It has become the first major layout target market for global ginseng industry investment,trade and patented technology,and leads the development trend of global ginseng industry no matter in history or in the future.The prospect of development is very broad.Ginseng seed industry is the basic element of industrial development.Only through continuous innovation and improvement can we provide guarantee for Chinese agriculture and consumers at home and abroad to produce more high-quality ginseng products,and lay a solid foundation for the stable and high-quality development of ginseng industry in China.This paper takes the ginseng seed industry in China as the research object,and adopts the methods of literature study,Field Investigation,questionnaire survey and quantitative analysis.based on the investigation and analysis of the development history of China’s ginseng seed industry,the present situation of variety management,the present situation of seed industry standardization,the present situation of science and technology and patent,the present situation of market and management main body and the present situation of policy support of seed industry,it can be found that although China’s ginseng seed industry has a long history of development.Some achievements have been made in the scientific research and development of ginseng and the breeding of new varieties,the relevant standards have provided some support for the standardization of seeds and seedlings of traditional Chinese medicine,and the patents of the seed industry have shown a steady development trend.the field of seed industry is giving birth to new products and new technologies,is about to enter a new stage of research and development,the development of production and management enterprises has just started,and relevant policies and laws and regulations are being gradually improved.However,there are still a series of problems to be solved,such as lack of improved variety resources,insufficient collection and protection of germplasm resources,shortage of planting land,weak R & D ability of new varieties,weak breeding and promotion of improved varieties,imperfect management system of seed industry and so on.Finally,combined with the current situation,problems and development direction of China’s ginseng seed industry,it is pointed out that in the next stage,measures can be taken to strengthen the protection of ginseng germplasm resources,promote the innovation of ginseng breeding,strengthen the examination and approval and protection of new varieties,scientifically plan the land for provenance breeding,strengthen the construction of improved seed breeding bases,establish a commercial breeding system,and promote the reform of management system.to further promote the high-quality development of China’s ginseng seed industry.To provide ideas and basis for government departments to formulate industrial support policies and development plans to ensure that China’s ginseng industry is in an invincible position in the international market competition.
