Research On Textile Trade Potential And Influencing Factors Between China And RCEP Partner Countries

China is the world’s largest textile producer and exporter,and RCEP is the world’s largest free trade zone.Over the past 20 years,the trade volume of textiles and apparel between China and RCEP partner countries has continued to grow.The steady growth of import and export of textile products in China is of great significance to the enhancement of China’s international competitiveness,the full employment of society and the sustainable development of the textile industry.Therefore,by analyzing the textile trade potential and influencing factors between China and RCEP partner countries,it is helpful to better understand the development direction of textile trade and consolidate the international competitiveness of Chinese textiles.First of all,through the analysis of the current situation of textile trade scale and trade structure between China and RCEP partner countries,it is found that China’s trade is basically in a large trade surplus for a long time in terms of textile import and export to the world.Secondly,this paper also calculates the trade competitiveness index and trade complementarity index of textiles of RCEP countries,and compares and analyzes the trade dependence,international market share,trade competitive advantage index,revealed comparative advantage index and trade complementarity index of textiles of China and RCEP partner countries.The results show that Chinese textiles occupy a large market share in the international market,indicating that the international market competitiveness is larger and stronger.Then,this paper builds an extended trade gravity model,conducts heterogeneity analysis based on the RCEP starting time and the economic development level of RCEP partner countries,and calculates the textile trade potential coefficient between China and RCEP countries.The research shows that the textile trade potential between China and RCEP partner countries is a pioneering trade type and has certain trade potential.Finally,based on the empirical analysis,it is proposed to optimize the structure of textile trade and promote the healthy development of textile trade.Expand the advantage of human resources and improve the labor productivity of textile industry;Promote the internationalization of RMB and promote financial exchanges and cooperation;Actively carry out exchanges and cooperation through the RCEP platform;Strengthening the building of free trade zones,lowering trade barriers and other proposals.
