| With the rapid development of digital economy,the utilization and popularization of digital technology have become a new driving force for economic growth,and the market environment is changing with each passing day.In order to enable enterprises to achieve high-quality development in the fierce competition environment,many enterprises are embracing digitalization and carrying out digital transformation,but the economic effect of digital transformation has not yet reached a unified conclusion.As the main body of economic activities,the performance of enterprises is related to the stability and growth of the economy,which is related to the development level of the national economy.Therefore,understanding how enterprises’ digital transformation affects their performance is not only of great significance to enterprises themselves,but also provides theoretical support for the development of China’s digital economy.At present,the academic research on the relationship between enterprise digital transformation and enterprise performance is not yet mature.The purpose of this paper is to explore the relationship between enterprise digital transformation and enterprise performance,analyze its influencing mechanism,and explore the economic effect of digital transformation.Based on classic theories such as resource-based theory,dynamic capability theory and upper echelon theory,this paper analyzes the relationship among digital transformation,dynamic capability and enterprise performance,constructs a research framework with dynamic capability as the mediating variable and executives’ information technology background as the moderating variable,and reveals the possible black box between digital transformation and enterprise performance.Firstly,this paper introduces the research background and explains the purpose and significance of the research.Secondly,the literature analysis method is used to review the relevant research on digital transformation,dynamic capability and enterprise performance at home and abroad,and the research object and main research variables of this paper are sorted out and summarized.Then,referring to the research results of domestic and foreign scholars,the theory involved in this paper is sorted out,and the theoretical logic of "digital transformation-dynamic capability(innovation capacity,absorptive capacity,adaptive capacity)-enterprise performance" is constructed.Relevant research hypotheses are put forward,the measurement model of empirical research is designed,and the definition and measurement methods of variables are listed.Finally,empirical research is used to verify the hypotheses of this paper.In the part of empirical research,based on the annual report data of A-share listed companies from 2014 to 2020,this paper crawled the terms related to digital transformation in the annual report through the Python program,and finally formed the core variable enterprise digital transformation.This paper sorts out the relevant data,uses Stata software to conduct descriptive statistics and correlation analysis,and conducts regression analysis on the econometric model,verifies the theoretical hypotheses proposed one by one,analyzes the relationship between enterprise digital transformation and enterprise performance,and verifies the role of dynamic capability as a mediating variable in the relationship between enterprise digital transformation and enterprise performance.At the same time,this paper analyzes the impact of the difference in the information technology background of executives on the influence mechanism,and finally tests the stability of the possible contingency.Through empirical analysis,it is confirmed that enterprise digital transformation can have a significant positive impact on enterprise performance,which indicates that enterprises can realize the growth of enterprise performance through digital transformation;Enterprise digital transformation has a significant effect on enterprise innovation ability and absorptive capacity,but the relationship between digital transformation and adaptive capacity is not significant;Through the mediating effect test,the innovation capacity and absorptive capacity of dynamic capabilities play a partial mediating role in the relationship between enterprise digital transformation and enterprise performance;Through the analysis of the moderating effect,the information technology background of executives plays a significantly positive moderating role in enterprises’ digital transformation,innovation capacity and absorptive capacity,and can also positively moderate the relationship between enterprises’ digital transformation and enterprise performance.This paper uses empirical scientific methods to explain the direct and partial indirect effects between digital transformation and enterprise performance,and makes a reasonable analysis of its impact path,which enriches the research framework of digital transformation,brings a new theoretical perspective to the research of enterprise performance,and puts forward corresponding development suggestions for enterprise digital transformation. |
