The manufacturing industry is a pillar industry in China and an important foundation for high-quality economic development.In the context of global economic integration,the improvement of manufacturing export competitiveness can help improve the overall competitive strength of a country’s manufacturing industry,and also enable it to continuously optimize its manufacturing structure and stimulate the vitality of the manufacturing industry in the process of competition with other countries.With the deepening of trade frictions,China’s manufacturing exports have exposed the problems of high production costs,heavy burden,low resource allocation efficiency,weak independent innovation ability,low overall technical level,and the impact of the new global trade environment on China’s manufacturing exports,resulting in the formation of a situation in which the competitiveness of China’s manufacturing exports is not strong in recent years.Therefore,there is an urgent need to find new impetus to promote its export competitiveness.In recent years,the emergence of the digital economy based on the Internet,big data and artificial intelligence has changed the way of industry competition and innovation,causing a round of changes in different industries,which is also a new opportunity for the development of China’s manufacturing export competitiveness.Based on the era of digital economy,this paper first analyzes the digitalization of production factors,the improvement of production digital technology,sales convenience,reducing export risks and saving transaction costs according to the theory of factor endowment,transaction cost and technology gap,and obtains the influence mechanism of digital economy on the export competitiveness of China’s manufacturing industry.In addition,in the process of theoretical research,it is also found that the external business environment will have an impact on the export competitiveness of the manufacturing industry in the digital economy.Therefore,on this basis,this paper selects the data from 2013 to 2020,uses the entropy weight method to construct digital economy indicators,and sets up a panel data model based on the diamond model to conduct an empirical analysis of the digital economy on China’s manufacturing export competitiveness.Analyzing the impact of digital economy on manufacturing export competitiveness can enrich the existing research on digital economy and manufacturing export competitiveness,and is of great significance for taking corresponding measures to improve the international competitiveness of manufacturing.After empirical analysis and theoretical analysis,the results are as follows: first,the digital economy has a significant role in improving the export competitiveness of China’s manufacturing industry;Second,the business environment plays a positive regulating effect in the impact of the digital economy on the export competitiveness of China’s manufacturing industry,which is most obvious in the eastern and central regions of China,and the western adjustment effect is the secondary.Based on this,proposes the objectives to be achieved,designs a policy framework,and proposes specific policy implementation paths to promote the export competitiveness of China’s manufacturing industry.
