A System Dynamics Analysis Of The Impact Of Open Innovation On Innovation Performance

Open innovation is a concept proposed to distinguish between traditional closed innovation.In the era of highly dynamic business environment,closed innovation has been difficult to meet the req uirements of the rapid development of knowledge-intensive enterprises.Therefore,the open innovation model of open organization border and seeking internal and external interaction has become a new choice for enterprises.This article is committed to stud ying the impact of open innovation on knowledge-intensive enterprises innovation performance,and gives advice to help enterprise management based on the results of the analysis.At present,many studies on the impact of open innovation on innovation performance present inconsistent conclusions,and many studies have not considered the dynamic nature of open innovation and the time lag of innovation performance.To this end,this paper conducts system dynamics modeling based on open innovation theory and knowledge-based theory,simulating with Vensim PLE 8.1.0,and conducts sensitivity analysis through dynamic environmental factors such as technological change and policy orientation.The results show that the impact of open innovation on the knowledge stock of innovative enterprises presents a trend of first decreasing,then increasing,and finally leveling off over time,the impact of open innovation on innovation performance of innovative enterprises shows a trend of first decline and then rise.In the shor t term,outward innovation is better,in the long term,inward innovation is better.Technological changes have a greater impact on inward innovation,changes in policy orientation have a greater impact on outward innovation.The results obtained by simula tion analysis in this study can provide theoretical support for the knowledge-intensive enterprise’s selection of innovation models and business strategies.
