Spatiotemporal Coupling Relationship Between Urban Resilience And Tourism High-quality Development

Urban and tourism-related issues have always been a major part of geography research.As the central place of occurrence and distribution of tourism activities,cities play a decisive role in the quality of regional tourism development.In recent years,the scale of China’s cities has expanded rapidly,and the development of urban tourism has become more and more diversified and refined,and tourism has become an important part of the good life of cities.Since the 18 th Party Congress,the goal of China’s economic development has gradually shifted from high-speed development to high-quality development,which has put forward the requirements of high-quality development for tourism.As we all know,tourism is an industry with high vulnerability,and the high-quality development of urban tourism cannot be separated from the improvement of the comprehensive strength of the city.In the past decade or so,global economic crisis,natural disasters,epidemics and other crisis events have occurred frequently,and urban resilience as an important indicator to measure the comprehensive strength of cities has become a hot spot for academics and governments to pay attention to,so the research on the relationship between urban resilience and high-quality tourism development is helpful to explore the inner interaction law between the two,so as to provide reference for the sustainable development of urban tourism.This study collected panel data of 53 key tourism cities in China from 2010-2019,and comprehensively analyzed the coupling relationship between urban resilience and highquality tourism development by using entropy value method,comprehensive index evaluation method,DEA model,coupling coordination degree model,gray correlation analysis,and Arc GIS spatio-temporal analysis,etc.The research includes the following aspects.(1)Sorting out and summarizing the domestic and foreign literature to determine the research ideas.(2)Constructing the urban resilience evaluation index system,measuring the urban resilience of 53 key tourism cities in China from 2010-2019,and conducting spatio-temporal analysis on the results.(3)Using DEA model to measure the level of high quality tourism development in 53 key tourism cities in China from 2010-2019,and perform spatio-temporal analysis on the results.(4)Using the coupling degree model and coupling coordination degree model to measure the urban resilience and tourism high quality development level of 53 key tourism cities in China from 2010-2019,and perform spatio-temporal analysis on the results.(5)Using gray correlation analysis,we explored the influence of urban resilience indicators on the high quality development of tourism and the coupling and coordination between the two.(6)Conclusions and recommendations are drawn.Through the analysis,the main conclusions of the article are:(1)the overall urban resilience of China’s 53 key tourism cities has increased during 2010-2019,with large differences in urban resilience among cities and higher scores in first-tier cities and provincial capitals;(2)the tourism high quality development level of China’s 53 key tourism cities has fluctuated during 2010-2019,with certain gaps among cities,with firsttier cities and provincial capitals have relatively low scores,and prefecture-level tourism cities have relatively high scores;(3)the urban resilience of China’s 53 key tourism cities and the level of tourism quality development are coupled to a high degree,but the coupling coordination is generally not high,with the characteristics of spatial and temporal differences,and there is still more room for development overall.For all cities with a focus on local infrastructure and employment.Different countermeasures are proposed for different types of cities.(1)For cities with a high degree of coupling and coordination,they should continue to strengthen the construction of cities and scenic spots on the existing basis to improve further comprehensive strength,and provide advanced experience and templates for surrounding cities.(2)For cities with low coupling coordination and f-value less than 0.8,they should continue to strengthen infrastructure construction and increase strategic reserves at the same time.(3)For cities with f-values greater than 0.8 and less than 1.2,they need to lay a firm economic foundation,provide sufficient financial and human support for urban resilience and tourism development,and then find their respective breakthroughs to take the lead in breaking through the steady state on the side of urban resilience or high-quality tourism development.(4)For cities with f-values greater than 1.2,they should make full use of the advantages of mobile Internet in the information age,use big data and other technologies to optimize tourism reception and service levels and provide personalized services for tourists;secondly,they should optimize the management level of scenic spots;thirdly,they should increase the training efforts and training levels of tourism professionals.
