Updating of urban database on surveying and mapping is confronted with how to construct efficient spatio-temporal data model to organize urban data of surveying and mapping. The aim of this dissertation is to construct spatio-temporal data models fit for urban database on surveying and mapping, and apply the models to store, manage and query urban data of surveying and mapping. According to geometry feature of spatial objects and organizing form of spatio-temporal data, spatio-temporal data models of punctual place names, urban buildings and planning roads centerlines are constructed with model of base state with amendment. This paper realizes various operations of spatio-temporal query and updating. With extending of time, split arcs become more and more using planning roads centerlines Spatio-temporal composite data model, and spatio-temporal database becomes larger and large. The paper proposed to divide the database to a few sub-databases in terms of the end time of objects, to query each sub-databases, and to operate querying results logically. Object-oriented spatio-temporal model of planning roads centerlines can not only use existed spatial analysis function of GIS, but also to realize temporal analysis function. Maintaining and recovering of data is easy, Spatial information has little redundancy and temporal information has a little redundancy with the model. The model also can express variance reason.
