The low Carboniferous in Lunnan low heave and surrounding Hadeson, where the first marine sandstone oil field was found with the reserves at the level of 100 million tons, is one of the main exploration war fields. In order to make clear the development conditions and spreading features of sandbodys in Donghe Sandstone stratigraphic and lithologic straps, and point out the exploration direction, favorable zone and target of next large-size stratigraphic and lithologic oilfield with the reserves at the level of 100 million tons in this area, tackling the key problems, such as the Donghe Sandstone sedimentary system, the geological model of sandbody distribution and variety, the reservoir forecasting and the discovering and confirming of the traps, is the prerequisite. This paper is one of the main contents of the "Tenth Five-year Plan" brainstorm projects focusing on the formation main control factors and exploration direction of the large and medium-size gas fields in cratonic area.Under the direction of modern sedimentology, sequence stratigraphy and reservoir geology etc., the method combining macroscopic with microscopic was applied, the composing characteristics and configuration mode of the low Carboniferous in Lunnan low heave and surrounding Hadeson under the isochronous stratigraphic framework were established, the development mechanism of high quality reservoir was made clear, and the developing geological model of Donghe Sandstone stratigraphic and lithologic straps was builded. Afterwards the possible area of stratigraphic and lithologic straps existing was analyzed on the forming conditions of oil and gas pools. Finally apply a series of technologies for stratigraphic and lithologic straps study, such as the seismic forward and seismic inversion, palaeogeomorphology study and many seismic attributes analyzing, for theexploration targets on the base of the established geological model.Tarim basin exist three periods pinch-out boundary of Donghe Sandstone during the deposit of carboniferous Bachu formation. The first period pinch-out boundary of Donghe Sandstone exist in the contact area of the Donghe Sandstone section and the lower mudstone section, for example Tazhong area and Manxi area, and the tectonic traps is the main exploration targets. The second period pinch-out boundary of Donghe Sandstone exist in the contact area of the Donghe Sandstone section and the breccia section, for instance Lunnan eastern slope and Halahatang area, where the Lunan59 stratigraphic oil and gas pool was discovered, and the new discovered Lunnan37 stratigraphic and lithologic strap is the next important exploration target. The third period pinch-out boundary of Donghe Sandstone exist in the contact area of the Donghe Sandstone section and the middle mudstone section, for instance Hadeson area, where the large size Hade4 stratigraphic oil pool was discovered, and the new discovered large size Yangwu5 and Yangwu6 stratigraphic and lithologic strap can be the next main attack target prospecting for giant oil and gas fields.
