The latest theory and method of sequence stratigraphy, sedimentology, seismic straligraphy, reservoir geology are adopted in this paper. By using the data of seism data, log data, core information, the framework of sequence strata and sedimentary facies in the area of Tazhong in Tarim are analyzed and studied deeply, also the favorable reservoir are researched and forecasted primarily. The fruit enrich the theories of sequence stratigraphy and sedimenetology.All researching will play an important role in exploration and development of this area.After more than 1 years of 3-D seismic data interpretation and high frequency sequences study of well-seismic combination, and on base of large amount of integrated studies, the sequence framework, reservoir and favorable reservoir in Tazhong area were analysed, and the findings can be described as follows:1. Sequence stratigraphic framework of Silurian in Tazhong Area is maked clear preliminarily, and the division projests of the high resolution sequence are also established. According to the data of seism, mud well logging, well logging, cores and the principles of well correlation, the Silurian stratum is divided into three third-order sequences and fifteen fourth-order sequences (parasequence sets), and six system tract are distinguished.2. The sedimentary facies features, depositional model and sedimetary system distribution features of Silurian in Tazhong Area are definiteness through this research. The main target stratum has the following characteristics: dominated by barrier-free clastic tidal facies, tidal facies are divided into three subfacies: supratidal zone, intertidal zone and subtidal zone. The tidal facies in Tazhong Area are mainly dominated by intertidal sand flat, sand-mud-mixed flat, intertidal mud flat and supratidal mud flat subfacies.3. Sandstone body regularities of distribution is realized in Tazhong Area, and the geologic model of reservoir bed is establised.4. The borehole seismic inversion technology and transverse prediction of reservoir technology are used to the research area in Tazhong detailed, so the precision of sandstone body recognition is improved.5. Based on the integrated study of the sequence, sedimentary facies and distribution regularities of the favorable sandstone body in the research area, the advantageous targets for petroleum exploration are given, so are the positions of adivsed wells.
