Taking Jiyang Depression as the study object, many kinds of disciplines were applied synthetically in this thesis, such as, stratigraphy, structural geology, sedimentology, historical geology, geophysics, etc. On the basis of the reconstruction of the denuded thickness and the original thickness, and the study of the developing characteristics of the basin-controlled faults, combined with the study of space-time distribution of the sedimentary facies and the analysis of basin - transfer mechanism and the geodynamics, the prototype basins of each structural stage in Mesozoic were studied and analyzed in detail, moreover, the superimposed relationship of the Mesozoic basin and Cenozoic basin was discussed. Main innovative results are as follows: 1. As a fault basin, Jiyang depression experienced multicycle evolvements, and the developing characteristics of the faults in each structural stage controlled not only the prototype basin pattern, but also the denudation and alteration of the previous basin. And the superimposed relationship controlled the remnant basin pattern directly. Consequently, the study of the faults and strata denudation is key to the analysis of the prototype basin of the fault superimposed basin. In practical study, the essential flow is"on the basis of the study of the faults, strata denuded thickness and original thickness, analyzing the controlling effect of the faults to the sedimentation and denudation, and combined with the areal geology background, reconstructing the basin prototype of each stage". 2. As the basic theories and methods of the calculation of the denuded thickness, such as, the methods of cosmogenic nuclides, wave equation, apatite fission track, structural sections, acoustic wave, vitrinite reflection, etc, were argued detailedly , and their applicable ranges were analyzed , the denuded strata thickness of each structural layer layer of pre-Tertiary was reconstructed. And the contour maps of the denuded thickness of Paleozoic top in Mesozoic and Cenozoic, the denuded thickness of Jurassic in Cretaceous and Cenozoic, the denuded thickness of Cretaceous in Cenozoic were plotted.
