The author studied the sequence stratigraphic framework and coal accumulation of the Carboniferous-Permian in Henan province using sedimentology, sequence stratigraphy, coalfield geology and other theories. The paleogeographic settings of research area were definite through comprehensive analysis of tectonic background and stratigraphic characteristics. The recognitions of seventeen types of lithofacies and four sedimentary systems which includes carbonate platform-lagoon systems, tidal flat systems,delta systems, and offshore lacustrine systems, were obtained for the Carboniferous-Permian in Henan province. Seven third-order sequences are preserved within the Carboniferous-Permian in Henan province and separated by eight sequences boundaries. Third-order Sequence stratigraphic framework of late Palaeozoic Carboniferous-Permian are based, paleogeography and paleogeomorphic of third-order Sequence which is evolution from sea to land are restored, and then concentrating coal characteristics and law of carbonate platform,tidal flat and delta peat swamp of Carboniferous-Permian coal measures are summarized in southern north china craton(in Henan Province). Offshore Coal accumulation model which is consistituted by low accommodation (delta environment), middle accommodation (tidal flat environment) and high accommodation (carbonate platform-lagoon environment) are established under sequence stratigraphic framework of Carboniferous-Permian coal measures in Henan Province.
