Transient pulse test is a nondestructive test method being developed; it can be used to test bridgewire (or film bridge) electric explosive devices. Based on the analysis on the domestic and foreign development of transient pulse, the paper studies the transient pulse nondestructive test technology of bridgewire electric explosive devices. The central contents are as follows:(1) The transient pulse test system is studied and made. The systematical error of test system is studied also. The error includes two sides, one is the calculation error about Wheatstone bridge circuit, and another is the effect of the sharp pulse producing when test current is loaded on the sample. In order to eliminate or decrease error, some measures are employed in the test program.(2) The result of verification test shows transient pulse test will not induce notable influence on the firing performance of electric fuse due to little current, and the transient pulse test is nondestructive.(3)The influence of environment temperature on transient pulse test is studied. The result shows temperature rise of bridgewire drops in pace with the rise of environment temperature, but the drop range is little, and the t-test result shows the influence of environment temperature is no notable.(4)The relation between thermal parameter and sensitivity is studied, the result shows there is good influence regularity between ternperature rise or temperature rise constant and sensitivity, the higher the temperature rise or the temperature rise constant, the more sensitive the fuse. The influence regularity between heat loss or heat capacity and sensitivity isn't remarkable.(5)The sensitivity of electric explosive device is studied through transient pulse test. The transient pulse test on single bridgewire and double bridgewire electric explosive device is conducted. The results show higher the temperature rise, the more sensitive the electric explosive device, so the sensitivity classification method by transient pulse test is feasible.(6)The performance change(function time) regularity due to radio fluency or long store is studied by transient pulse test. The result shows transient pulse test can reflect the performance change.(7)The application of artificial neural network in the transient pulse test is studied. The parameter of BP network (back-propagation networks) is determined through repeated exploration. The verification result shows the output data of network of normal electric thermal response curve is close to the expectation data, but the output data of network of abnormal electric thermal response curve deviate from the expectation data more greatly. So artificial neural network can be used to distinguish electric thermal response curve automatically.
