This dissertation investigates the mechanism and mathematics model for solution mining cavern. We present the numerical solution to the mathematical model. The numerical simulation software CPSLS1.1, which is easy in operation and has strong function, is developed by computer programming. The process of solution mining cavern can be simulated and the project can be optimized used by the software.By numerical simulation, the affecting factors of solution mining cavern are discussed from three aspects of geologic condition, production condition and solution mining tool. This dissertation presents their influence law on solution mined cavern shape and construction speed. The optimization design criterion is presented by analyzing the requirement of solution mining cavern in Jintan of Jiangsu, Yunying of Hubei and Pingdingshan of Henan. We present the optimization design means of solution mining cavern. Three examples in field application in Yunying and Pingdingshan are showed in the dissertation. The grey matter member analysis to optimize project is discussed. As the example of some underground gas storage in Jintan, the analytical hierarchy process is used to compute weight of evaluation index. The grey matter member analysis is used to evaluate the project so that we can get the best project of solution mining cavern. The optimization design field application of solution mining cavern is presented as the example of gas storage JZ-1 in Jintan. The research result shows that the project of solution mining cavern can be get to direct field gas storage construction by the software CPSLS1.1 with the optimization design means discussed in this dissertation.
