Traditional Chinese Medicine In The Treatment Of Precancerous Lesion Of Gastric Cancer And Experimental Research

Objective: To explore into the characteristic of the discriminating theory in Traditional Chinese Medicine(T.C.M) and the law of diagnosis and treatment on the basis of an overall analysis of precancerous lesion of gastric cancer. And to research on the mechanism of the method of invigorating vital energy (yin) and dissipating in the treatments of precancerous lesion of the stomach from organic, cellular and molecular the levels .Methods: 1. According to the analyse and review of thousand of clinical data, we screened 60 symptoms, pulse palpations and tongue observations correlating to precancerous lesion of the stomach. We had established the unitive investigatory tables of precancerous lesion of gastric cancer with the discriminating theory in T.C.M, and had investigated 300 cases of pathological diagnosed patients.2. 150 cases were observed using the WeiZhuanAnChongJi (No.l and No.2) 3. A model of precancerous lesion of the white rats' stomach was made with MNNG and Ranitidine. A dynamic observation was carried out about the activation of telomere enzyme during the generant and developing process of the precancerous lesion of gastric cancer, the relation of telomere enzyme with the cell proliferation and apoptosis and the action of the intervenor of WeiZhuanAn.Results: Weak body resistance and mighty illness are the main characteristic of the precancerous lesion of the stomach in T.C.M theory. Deficiency of vital energy and yin induces the weak body resistance, while blood stasis, energy block, wetness and poisonous substance bring on the mighty illness. According the results of the epidemiology investigation and the analysis of the clinical data of chronic gastritis, the evolving rule of the precancerous lesion of the stomach was summarized, which evolves from chronic superficial gastritis to chronic atrophic gastritis until intestinal gland metaplasia and different hyperplasia. The rule of the evolvement in T.C.Mtheory is from block to weakness, from weakness to mighty illness. Using the WeiZhuanAnChongJi (No.l and No.2) with the method of invigorating vital energy (yin) and dissipating to treat 100 cases of precancerous lesion of the stomach which diagnosed by gastroscopy pathology, the compositive efficiency is 96 percent, exceeding the contrast group (Weifuchupian) which is 78 percent. The method is all good at releasing clinical symptom, reversing different hyperplasia and intestinal gland metaplasia. Animal experiments confirmed that during the process of making the model of precancerous lesion of the stomach with MNNG, accompany the change of histology, telomere enzyme could be activated meanwhile the cell proliferation exponent raised gradually and apoptosis exponent depressed gradually. The telomere enzymatic activities were different obviously between the group using traditional Chinese medical herbs and the group depending on natural recovery. The cell proliferation exponents among groups had statistics significance, which model group>natural recovery group>traditional Chinese medical herbs group>normal group. The apoptosis exponents among groups also had statistics significance, which normal group>traditional Chinese medical herbs group>natural recovery group>model group.Conclusion: The mechanism of precancerous lesion belongs to the weak body resistance and the mighty illness. Using the WeiZhuanAnChongJi (No.l and No.2) with the method of invigorating vital energy (yin) and dissipating can reverse the precancerous lesion of gastric cancer such as different hyperplasia effectively with the releasing of clinical symptoms. Animal experiments confirmed that the prescription had the effect of restraining cell proliferation and promoting apoptosis. It approved from cytokinetics that the prescription of WeiZhuanAn had the effect of block and reversion to the precancerous lesion of gastric cancer.
